Ms. Coco will be 6 yrs old on Halloween and was surrendered to the shelter because her owner no longer could afford to care for her. She is dog social and kid safe, according to her owner. He clearly loved her - and we hope to fulfill their wishes by finding her a forever home. Coco will be in EASTERN PA and will be available for adoption in late June. This energetic 70-pound pup is always excited to head out and explore the world around her. She can be a little strong on leash at first due to her enthusiasm, but once she's out and about, she settles into an easy-going rhythm and loves taking in all the sights and smells. Lexi is an independent dog who enjoys exploring her surroundings and following her nose. She may take a little time to warm up to new people, but she has a gentle, friendly demeanor and is easy to handle overall. On walks, she showed confidence and curiosity, remaining calm and non-reactive when encountering other dogs in kennels, yards, and on leash. In playgroups, Lexi tends to be more reserved, preferring to keep to herself while offering polite, brief greetings to other dogs. Meet Fern! Fern came to us as a stray so we sadly have no history on her. It didn't take the staff long to learn that she is a total sweetheart who is super easy to work with. She is always up for an adventure and loves everyone she sees along the way. Her experience with children and other animals is unknown, but we are hoping to introduce her to some other dogs soon. She is definitely a smart girl who had already learned basic commands and is housebroken.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Umi was surrendered to an urban NY shelter when his owner did not have stable housing. This almost two year old boy lived with adults in his former home, and was social with other dogs. He is tested with kids & cats in our presence.  Umi loves his toys, loves to go for rides and walks, and has house manners.  His foster said that he's a sweet guy who would do well with older school aged kids. Despite what the shelter evaluation may say (where he was super stressed), this is a really nice guy who is ready for a home.
