Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Fire 3-year-old Rottweiler • Arriving from Texas late April Fire is a handsome, sweet-hearted Rottweiler who’s ready to light up your life! This friendly boy is joining us from Texas at the end of April, and he’s already winning hearts wherever he goes. Fire is incredibly people-oriented and loves being right by your side. He’s a true love-bug who happily solicits pets, leans in for affection, and never turns down a good belly rub. His loose, wiggly body and happy demeanor show just how much he enjoys human company. Despite his playful and energetic side, Fire is also easygoing and well-mannered. He walks nicely at a slow, steady pace on leash, is easy to leash up, and enjoys getting out and about. He’s a smart boy who already knows the sit command and is eager to please. When it’s playtime, Fire loves to chase balls, run around outside, and entertain himself with toys. He’s social, playful, and does well greeting both people and other dogs. Volunteer favorites for good reason, Fire has been described as: Very sweet and mellow Playful and social Affectionate and people-focused Polite with good manners He even rocked an Easter photo shoot—bunny ears and all—showing off his calm, cooperative personality! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dexter is a handsome 5‑year‑old, 65‑lb Rottweiler with that classic rottie charm. He may start off a little aloof, but once he knows you, he’s friendly, gentle, and wonderfully easy to live with. He’s crate trained, housebroken, great in the car, and relaxed on leash. Dexter enjoys other dogs, loves his walks, and settles beautifully at home — usually right beside his person. He’s affectionate, food‑motivated, and happiest following you around for cuddles and quiet companionship. Dexter is still learning the fun parts of being a dog and would do best in a calm home with adults or older kids.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html April 10, 2026, 3:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Courtesy Post *** What do we love about Nora? This three year old rottie girl has an amazing personality, and is everybody's friend. She has been in the East Orange NJ shelter for some time, and she's still maintaining her sanity. But that can't last forever.  Nora is dog and school-aged kid social, and has not met a cat (they don't have any there). She walks nicely on leash and just wants somewhere to call her own.  Nora has vitiligo, which is a pigment disorder (think freckles on a large scale) . This is not dangerous or contagious, nor does it require any special treatment or care (maybe a little sun screen on her nose... )  Nora is available through East Orange NJ animal shelter. We'd love to pull her for a foster home in that area, if someone is available, too.  But really - adopt her from East Orange and MAKE HER DAY. She is up to date on shots, spayed, microchipped. She has her own photo album too   PLEASE adopt this girl.        Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html April 10, 2026, 3:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Roxy is a beautiful 6-year-old, 73 lbs. Rottweiler with the most soulful eyes and a truly gentle heart. From the moment she’s out with her people, her affectionate nature shines through. She approaches with a soft wag, settles close, and leans her whole body into her handler’s legs, soaking up every bit of connection she can get. Roxy loves quiet companionship and finds comfort in human touch, often pressing her head into waiting hands and just being there. She’s the kind of dog who forms bonds quickly and deeply, and she clearly thrives on calm, reassuring interactions. Roxy would do best in a home that understands she’ll benefit from some decompression time as she transitions — a chance to relax, take things at her own pace, and settle in without pressure. With a little patience and a peaceful environment, her sweet, loving personality is ready to blossom. Roxy isn’t demanding or flashy — she’s tender, loyal, and full of quiet affection. For someone willing to give her a soft landing and a moment to exhale, she’ll return that kindness tenfold.
