🐾 SKUNK is an adorable medium size Min Pin mix puppy who just loves everyone. He's at 33 lbs right now, but we feel his ideal weight is likely a little closer to 40. He is estimated 9-12 months as of the time of listing, and his foster would 100% adopt him if her older pup was more open to it. But Skunk is great with all animals and people he meets. He's housetrained, crate-trained and just a sweet pup! We've got him fully vetted. We'll report back with more pics as soon as we get them from his foster. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌 IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

In the sweltering heat I was blessed enough to CHOOSE the Post Office to hang out in. I was there for months, and no one could get me...and they tried but they deliver MAIL, not SAVE DOGS for a living..:) The Post Master knew about a local rescue, and they tried to help me too...then I was hit by a car and injured... AND I found a girlfriend and she was my lucky break, literally. The Police Department was finally able to save us and away we went to the rescue! My sweet girlfriend, Avian, was adopted before me, but I believe this is MY TIME!! Here is what my rescue friends describe me.."GhostBuster is always happy to see you, his eyes shine, tail wags, and his energy boosts whenever he sees his favorite people! He has the subtle markings of a Rottweiler or a Doberman and the temperament of a lab. He had an injured hip when saved but he has had surgery and has had his heartworms treated. During all this time he has started to know what a kind hand is like, some love, and real food! Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey! I was found when I was only 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted shortly after but returned due to being a snarky teenager and showing tenacity and energy common with my breeds. Training would have been key! Anyway, since coming back, I have spent almost *4.5 years* living on GDR's ranch property in Texas. I’ve been overlooked all this time and it’s time for that to change! I have now been in a foster home for ~8 months. It took some time to adjust to being indoors again but I have learned the wonders of ✨air conditioning✨. It also took time to adjust to “less dogs” but I‘m loving my newfound personal space. There are other dogs in my foster home but, at my age, I prefer dogs that match my low energy. I would even be fine as the only dog. Certainly no cats or other small animals for me! I still have a tinge of that independent/stubborn streak from my youth but, at the end of the day, I am a BIG LOVER! I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my foster mom. She gives the best hugs and back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I shed A LOT! While living at the rescue, they took great care of me...too good, honestly. I put on a lot of weight but have now slimmed down some, too! I am eating less and getting joint supplements every day to continue working on my figure. I am a generally lazy guy but I am amazing on a leash and love to go on walks. More consistent exercise will help with my weight loss. I still have plenty of pep in my step (especially when I‘m on the hunt for squirrels) so don’t let my age or size fool you. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! I will melt your heart when you look into my caramel eyes and sweet, chocolatey soul. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!!
