Story
Meet Teddy Graham (69 lbs)! This handsome guy came to us without a lot of history, so we`re taking our time getting to know him, and helping him to get settled in with lots of fetch in the play yard, and scrumptious treats. He appreciates slower paced introductions when it comes to getting to know new friends, and he may need a little extra time to feel comfortable. But once that’s out of the way, he’s ready to jump around and show you his extra favorite purple rolly-ball.Since we don’t know a lot about his history, we`re unsure how he’ll do in a home with cats or kids. If you already have a dog, our adoptions team can set up a meet-and-greet to see how they get along! We’ll be updating Teddy’s profile as we learn more about him. Would you like to get to know Teddy Graham? Stop by our adoption center Wednesday–Sunday: 12:00–4:30 PM (Thursday: 12:00–6:30 PM)You can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Bo (63 lbs) knows how to chase a ball, just like the pros! He’s got speed and agility to match that enthusiasm, but sometimes that enthusiasm can spill over onto things that he considers ‘his’, so he’s looking for a home where his family can help him to see that his stuff is safe, we promise!Because his previous owners recognized that they didn’t have the time that Bo deserves, this handsome dude is just patiently wearing out our throwing arms here in the meanwhile. Ideally, his new home would also include older kids who are patient and respectful of his boundaries, and ready to throw that stick or ball until the cows come home! He`s gotten along well with other animals in the home, but we`d still like to set up separate introductions between any resident dogs and him; he likes to get to know you before he`s feeling confident enough to show you his full playful side.Come in to say hello during our open hours Wed - Sundays, 12pm - 4:30pm (extended hours until 6:30pm Thursdays), or you can also reach our adoptions team:by email: adoptions@spcaonline.comby phone (during open hours): 607-257-1822 x221

Story
Nala is a little on the shy side and can startle easily but has been gaining confidence every day, so she’ll need someone who understands that and can work with her on gaining trust and confidence. Yet Nala is still an incredibly gentle Rottie-mix with a love of cookies (for dogs) who walks on a loose leash for our volunteers.

Story
Dakota is a gorgeous brindle Rottweiler mix with a big personality and lots of love to give. She’s affectionate, loves cuddles and snacks, and has a silly side that comes out when she’s happily rolling around in the grass. She may do best with someone comfortable handling a dog of her size, as Dakota is a strong, athletic girl. But with that size comes a loyal companion with a big heart, ready to be part of your family.

Story
If you’re looking for a diamond in the rough, meet Wednesday!  This gentle, affectionate young soul came to PMAR after surviving the NYC ACC. Despite a rough start, she has remained incredibly sweet and people-oriented with so much love to give. To be honest, Wednesday is a bit of a "wild child"—she never quite got the proper training or structure she needed while growing up. But don't let that fool you; she is a very good girl at heart! We know that with a patient family and a consistent routine, she will absolutely flourish. Personality: Sweet, loving, and energetic. The Ideal Home: She will thrive with someone who can provide structure, confidence-building, and that much-needed consistency. Social Life: She does well with other dogs, cats, and older kids (15+). Wednesday has the heart of a star; she just needs a director to show her the ropes!   All of our animals receive comprehensive veterinary care prior to adoption, including a full exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spay or neuter, heartworm testing, and any necessary medical treatment.    A vet reference, home and/or family visit, and an adoption fee are required.    Transport options are available within our operating region, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. We do not adopt animals to Canada.    For more information or to submit an application, please visit www.pmarinc.org.All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Vet references are required and prior to adoption a home inspection will be conducted. Transport options available. Adoption fee applies.  If interested go to www.pmarinc.org for an application. Story
Chance is a gorgeous young shepherd mix weighing in around 70+ pounds. He is about what you would expect from a one year old - happy, playful, athletic and ready for the next adventure. Currently, he is enjoying time in a foster home with another dog where he can learn life skills away from the shelter stress. He would thrive in a home that continues to provide love, structure, and plenty of outlets for his physical and mental energy!

Story
Oso is a super loving, affectionate, silly, and loyal dog. He is highly food-motivated and a quick learner, especially when treats are involved. He loves being petted and will often nudge you with his snout or paw for attention. He is very well trained and responds reliably to all of his commands. He will not get on furniture or beds unless invited. His favorite toys are crinkly ones and toys designed for small dogs. Oso does not have a mean bone in his body, gets along with any pet, and is not destructive in any way; not even with his toys. However, he is protective of his people. Strangers are not welcome in his personal space unless he approaches them first. He is a big nervous baby, so his boundaries must be respected. When it's time for grooming, he patiently lies still while being brushed, trimmed, and having his nails clipped. If given a bath, he will step into the tub or shower when directed and sit sweetly while being washed. He is truly the ultimate companion!
