Story
This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media.   Lillian is a fifty pound, eight-month-old, Rottweiler and Shar Pei mix. Lillian is good with other dogs, good with mature kids ten and over, and good with cats. She's so good with other dogs she requires a playmate, so another dog in the home will be best. She's truly affectionate, smart, and sociable.  She was found abandoned. Lillian is an active dog that will require a fenced yard. She can be adopted only to a homeowner since there are breed restrictions in most apartments for Rottweiler's. Lillian’s foster says: Lillian loves other dogs and has been introduced to cats with no barking or jumping, only sniffing. As for house training, we are working on it! It’s a struggle but she is a wonderful, playful, and loving dog! Truly a joy!! She needs lots of activity and some patience! Please consider your forward-looking plans, since adopting a puppy or young dog could be up to a fifteen-year commitment. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media.  May 30, 2023, 6:56 pm

Story
BRANDI is ready for her forever home! She is about 72LBs, sweet and friendly once she warms up and feels comfortable. She is selective with dogs and prefers male dogs. We think she would do best in a home with just one adult or with a couple. Brandi is a great dog, but needs some training and exercise, and a safe place to call her own. Decompression time and a routine is really going to help this girl shine. She will make a great companion for someone with Rottie experience. Brandi is a 3 year old with a docked tail. ADOPTION DETAILS: Each dog is spayed, neutered, (unless medically on hold) up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. At this time, due to the size of our rescue, adoptions are limited to NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, VIRGINIA and +/-6 hours from Raleigh, NC. ADOPTION FEE: Our total adoption fee is $300, including a non-refundable $25 application fee. Fee can be paid using the "DONATE" button on our website (www.RottweilerHeartsRescue.org) - please indicate in the notes that it is for an application fee, and the intended dog. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
RYAN is a cute young boy recently rescued by RHR. He was out of time in a kill shelter after being surrendered when his owners "were moving and couldn't take him". Ryan's foster says the following about Ryan: He can go for 2 hrs straight horsing around. Take a nap and go again. He’s smart and a quick learner. Sits and waits to eat and will sit outside his locked kennel to go in and eat when I preplace the bowls. Not destructive but he needs Nylabones and tough chew toys. Loves stuffed bones with PB. No stuffed toys. Doesn’t bark needlessly - only when he is playing. Very lovable and could be more so if he didn’t have to compete here. Not an apartment dog. Needs a home with fence. Absolutely a great dog to walk, hike and jog. Not a runner if he gets loose but will need some enforcement for recall. He’ll sell his soul for food. Ryan weighs about 70#'s. Heartworm positive but our rescue pays for his treatment. Already neutered and current on vaccines. We would love to see Ryan in a home with another dog. Fostered in Southwest Virginia. *** ADOPTION DETAILS: Most RHR available dogs live in foster homes. Each dog is spayed, neutered, (unless medically on hold or too young) up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. At this time, due to the size of our rescue, adoptions are limited to NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, VIRGINIA and +/-6 hours from Raleigh, NC.
