Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Abby is a 4-year-old, 65-lb Rottweiler with a loving and confident personality. She’s friendly and adores attention, especially belly rubs, and thrives when she has time to spend with her people. Abby has a moderate energy level—she loves carrying her Jolly Ball, chewing on Kongs, and enjoys daily walks. She can pull on leash at first but settles with proper exercise or longer walks. Abby is housebroken, crate trained, and mat/place trained, and is comfortable being alone for 4–5 hours during the day. She also does very well on long trips and during hotel stays, making her a great travel companion. While she is dog selective and takes time to warm up to new canine friends (she prefers low-energy dogs), she can do well in a home with a patient introduction process—or as the only dog. She hasn’t been around cats and does best with older children. Abby’s ideal home includes a fenced yard for safe play and enrichment, and an experienced adopter who will spend quality time training, playing nose work games, or just relaxing together. She’s confident, loves attention, and would make a devoted lap dog for the right person. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, and confident Rottweiler who’s ready to share love, fun, and adventures, Abby could be your perfect match! Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants ideally should  live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  For the right match for Abby, we will consider applicants who live further away if they are willing to travel to Cary to meet her.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ABBY? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Willow is an absolute sweetheart!  She loves other dogs and people.  She is housetrained and crate trained. She's a beautiful girl with a docked tail and longer fur. Her markings are stunning.  She has a slight limp but doesn't let it slow her down. Willow likes playing tug of war and with her favorite Teddy bear stuffy. She is starting to show interest in tennis balls too. Her temperament is absolutely perfect and she will be amazing given proper decompression time.   Willow is looking for a home with a dominant owner, someone a little more experienced with setting boundaries and sticking with them. Even a home with just one person as she seems to get attached easily and want to protect "her person". She is dog friendly and cat friendly though and would enjoy playtime with another furry friend.  Willow's foster is working on sit/stay commands with her. Willow can be a little stubborn, she identifies as a teenager trying to push boundaries at times. Willow enjoys car rides and is great in the back seat but once that car stops she wants to jump into your lap. She says, "No way are you leaving me in this car!" She wants her person to be where she is and will follow you around the house from room to room but her foster is teaching her that its ok to be alone at times. Willow needs a little crate time to have that "timeout" not as a punishment but as her safe place. She loves her crate and goes in easily. Willow is heartworm negative and up to date on all medical! She really likes her chicken flavored dog food, was not a fan of the duck. She has not missed many meals however as she is a hefty 78lbs and ready to give you all her loyalty and love! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 16, 2025, 7:59 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Lady Gabby — The Rotti Duchess Age: Golden years (but she still believes she’s 3) Titles she prefers: Gabs, Your Grace, Snacky Snacks Seeking a duke (or duchess, we don't judge) for a permanent Netflix-and-chill situationship. Must provide good treats, regal butt scratches, and squeaky chew toys. -You are: A calm, loving adult who appreciates an older dog’s slower pace and a consistent treat provider. - Living situation: Fenced yard required (Lady Gabby loves a secure monarchal domain) and a couch with a permanent spot reserved for her. No cats — she’s not interested in feline diplomacy. No sudden, loud chaos — she prefers a calm castle About her: - Looks: Distinguished rottweiler markings, delightfully round in all the right places, walks like royalty (slowly), poses like a statue (preferably on the couch). - Prime Activities: Curling up for long cuddle sessions, taste-testing treats delivered by hand, supervising the yard from a sunny patch, and offering dignified head nudges for attention. - Mobility: Enjoys short, bouts of play; prefers gentle activity or ballroom dance parties. - Expects to be told she’s a good duchess at least trice daily - Not picky about the exact location of butt-scratch appointments What she’s not asking for: Fancy titles, constant activity, or a life of drama. What she is asking for: A patient, loving companion who will provide treats, a comfy couch, and a fenced yard for her royal patrols. She’s charming, slightly plump, endlessly affectionate, and already practiced at being dramatic for snacks...  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 12, 2026, 11:50 am

Story
MAJESTY- Rottie Mix Age 10-12 mo ✔️ Cat friendly ✔️ dog friendly ✔️ critter curious (geese) Majesty came to us scared of everything. She had fear based reactivity. The first two weeks she had to have a leash on in order for us to bring her in and out of the crate for potty breaks. She did not trust humans. Somewhere in her past they let her down. She was a scared puppy that had to have interaction with humans on her own terms. Our vet understood her fear based needs and spent lots of time low on the floor passing out treats, not pushing her boundaries. She has come so far and enjoys canine companionship. She is a follower, not a leader. She has been in my foster care for six months and is ready to find her forever family. Majesty weighs 60 pounds is crate trained . New surroundings she is on the timid side. Anything that is new and unchartered will require extra patience giving her the time to sniff and investigate before she will commit to confidence. We have been able to go to tractor supply happy visits to the vets office where there are no expectations except getting treats. She does good on walks, especially when there’s a companion with her. Best home for her is with another friendly outgoing, dog (s) home, potentially quieter home with older kids that wont force her into their personal space nor hers. She has slept in my room with my other dog. She is an avid agile talented counter surfer. Nothing food related is safe on the counters unattended . 🤦‍♀️She is a thief of the countertops. Foster located in Virginia Beach, Virginia *** ADOPTION DETAILS: Each dog is spayed, neutered, (unless medically on hold or too young) up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. Story
Meet Zion!Zion is a medium-sized, energetic Boxer/Staffy mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He's playful, confident, and independent, with a fun-loving spirit that keeps things exciting around the house.Zion is both house-trained and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows several commands including sit, paw, down, and gentle. He's currently working on wait/stay and is eager to keep learning with a committed family. Like many young dogs, Zion is still polishing his manners and can be jumpy or mouthy when meeting new people, so a home without small children is best for him. Zion currently lives with elderly cats in his foster home and he tends to leave them alone. Slow introductions are always recommended when introducing to animals and humans. One of Zion's favorite things is tug-of-war, and he absolutely loves playing with his foster brother, Avery. He would thrive in a home with another playful, energetic dog who can match his enthusiasm. A home with a backyard-ideally fenced-is a must, as Zion loves to run, play, and burn off his energy.Zion's ideal family is active, patient, and committed to continuing his training, understanding that puppy tendencies don't disappear overnight. In return, they'll get a loyal, fun, and adventurous companion who's ready to go places and grow alongside them.If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate dog who's ready for his next chapter, Zion might just be your perfect match 🐶✨To get more information about Zion, please send an email to his foster family to wcacfosterfam24@gmail.com with the subject "Interest in Zion 264064" Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 43.5 Age: 1yrs 10mths 2wks

Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
