Game on, sports fans! I`m Julius, and just like a star quarterback, I`m ready to join your team and bring some serious energy to your home playbook. My outgoing personality means I`m always up for action, whether that`s a backyard game of fetch or cheering you on during game day. Think of me as your ultimate companion who`s always ready to play hard and cuddle even harder. I`ve got moves that would make any coach proud - I`m friendly, love snacks, and know how to take direction (especially when treats are involved). Whether we`re running plays in the backyard or just hanging out during halftime, I promise to be your most loyal teammate. Ready to draft me to your family roster? Let`s huddle up and make some amazing memories together! This furry MVP is looking for his forever fan club, and I guarantee I`ll bring championship-level love to your home.I am full grown at ~103lbs. How did I get here? Transferred from Johnston County Animal Shelter. **I have been diagnosed with heartworm disease and will begin treatment soon - please speak with an adoption specialist for details.**~My adoption fee is $120.00.~

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Abby is a stunning Rottweiler that is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 65lbs.  After a rough start in life, she is now searching for her forever home.  Abby was never socialized properly prior to finding her way into  Best Friend Pet Adoption.  She has since been through an intensive 8 week positive training program and did very well. Feedback from her training program is that Abby is loyal, loving, and eager to please. She is very food and treat motivated. She loves to work for her food!  Abby enjoys her nosework training to enrich her life.   Abby is now being fostered by an experienced dog person who has continued to work with her training and confidence.  She is crate trained, leash trained and house broken.  She needs a fenced yard and ideally some additional walks during the day. She has been crated for up to 4 hours.    Abby is currently living successfully with two male Rotties with low energy.  She will not do well with high energy dogs and   would do best as an only dog with an experienced, responsible owner.  Having previous experience with Rottie's would be beneficial.  Abby would not do well in a home with cats or with a first time dog owner.  When around new people, Abby prefers to be ignored and then will approach and engage with them.   Abby has lived with kids and would be ok with older children 12+ that are able to respect boundaries. Could your home be the right fit for Abby?   She has come a long way from her miserable life before Best Friend Pet Adoption saved her.  Could you provide a wonderful life for Abby?  She will give you plenty of love in return.  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Abby and her 6 puppies were surrendered to a rural shelter in August 2023 when the puppies were only 4 weeks old. Animal control did a welfare check and found Abby living outside in a pen with a huge sore around her neck from an embedded collar. One of our volunteers wanted to help immediately and agreed to foster Abby and her puppies. The puppies have all been adopted and now it is Abby's turn to fine a wonderful home.     Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    Applicants ideally should  live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  For the right match for Abby, we will consider applicants who live further away if they are willing to travel to Cary to meet her.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ABBY? Story
(DOB 05/28/2019) Is heartworm positive, but don't let that stop you from adopting. Our rescue will pay for the treatment & will be adoptable within 1 hour of Wake Forest, NC during the treatment period. Meet the one and only Michaela, a lovable girl with a heart as big as her paws! Michaela is a true sweetheart, always eager to make new friends and shower them with love. She's the kind of dog who will melt your heart with a wag of her tail and a gentle nuzzle.  While she’s super friendly, Michaela has a little bit of extra enthusiasm when it comes to walks; she tends to pull toward people like she’s on a mission to greet every passerby. When she is not on a mission to meet a new best friend on her daily walks, she is stopping, sniffing, and taking her time to check out the world around her. When up close and personal, she’s all about snuggles, sweet kisses, to let you know just how much she cares. Michaela is an absolute attention lover! She’ll happily soak up all the pets, belly rubs, and snuggles you can give her. Her favorite place in the world is right by your side, where she can enjoy endless affection and give you all her love in return. Whether it's a gentle scratch behind the ears or a full-on belly rub session, Michaela is always ready to show you just how much she appreciates the attention! Michaela has done good meeting children when out and about/at adoption events and is happy to roll over for them to rub her belly. Michaela would really thrive with a secure fenced yard (she can be a door/gate dasher so make sure to always have those securely closed & locked for her) where she can run, play, and get all the exercise she deserves. Currently, she's been enjoying a more chill lifestyle, which means she's packed on a little extra fluff (but don’t worry—she’s still as beautiful and loving as ever)! So a home with a 4-5ft fence is what Michaela has her eye on! That being said, other than that she's pretty flexible as far as family dynamics; she could be an only dog or be in a home with doggie siblings. Michaela hasn't had much of an opportunity to meet cats at this time. When it comes to her food, treats, and toys, Michaela can be a bit of a "princess" and prefers to keep her favorite things all to herself. She’s a natural guardian of her prized possessions and isn’t eager to share, so it’s best to offer these items in separate spaces to keep things peaceful. Consider Michaela a bit of a "food, treat, and toy enthusiast"—she’s got a big personality when it comes to her favorites! Michaela is a road trip enthusiast! She’s always ready for an adventure and loves hitting the open road with her favorite humans. Whether it's a quick trip to the park or a weekend getaway, Michaela is all about exploring new places and soaking in the sights and smells along the way. With her love for travel, she’s the perfect co-pilot for any journey, eagerly hopping into the car with her tail wagging and a big smile on her face. Ready to take her along for the ride? She’s always up for the next adventure! If you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate, and slightly silly companion who’s ready to find her forever family, Michaela might be just the girl for you! As part of Michaela’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Michaela, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2220931##

Story
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to the gorgeous Natasha! A beautiful 4 year old boxer mix dog that life has not treated very well; however, and despite how much she has suffered in her short life, her heart has had the ability to forgive and love people again, especially teenagers. And she proves it by giving you her paw when you get home, wagging her hips and tail at a speed that will surprise you!Tasha loves toys! She enjoys chewing on them and her greatest trophy is to find the squeaker and destroy it! She is also very good at playing fetch, making her an excellent playmate. That is why it is very important for her future family to have a fence yard and a male dogs to play with, considering that she gets along better with our dog Copper than with Maggie. When we are sitting at the table, Tasha will sit next to you and start talking, making sounds that will convince you to give her something from your plate, giving her paw as a thank you.We don't know what has happened in her past, but she gets very nervous when she sees someone running, so you must get her attention using a pet corrector and she will obey you immediately. Tasha also reacts to squirrels and bunnies, so it is recommended to be careful when walking. She is potty trained, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm free and ready to fill your life with pure love and tenderness. If you are strongly interested to give this diamond in the rough a second chance, please write to her foster mom at joshei@hotmail.com.Thank you for reading the story of a baby girl of which it is impossible not to fall in love with!
