Meet Zeus, who comes to us from the Forsyth County Animal Shelter. Zeus is an approximately 6-year-old, 73 lb., neutered and heartworm negative Rottweiler mix. He is current on all of his vaccines. This boy is super sweet, well-behaved, knows his basic commands (he even knows shake), and is kid and dog friendly. He also rides excellent in a car and walks great on a leash. Look at this cutie! Zeus is a 16 month old Rottie that is a sweet as pie. He is good with other dogs and loves people. He is a lot of puppy and needs some consistent routines. Zeus has completed a 14 day good dog training program. He has learned some good foundational manners and needs an owner who will follow through to help him be the best dog he can be!! Zeus is a good boy and real love bug! He can't wait to find his forever home.   Zeus was heartworm positive when he came into the rescue but has been treated by our vet.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications. We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Luke and his sister came into Ruff Love Rescue as a bonded pair.  They came to us after their previous owner encountered medical issues that left her unable to continue to care for them.  Luke and his sister Lizzie didn't care too much for other dogs, but they loved one another and were devoted to one another. Unfortunately, in April of 2024, Lizzie's health deteriorated significantly and she died, leaving Luke alone, without his sister.  He is, as you can imagine, a little lost without his sister. He doesn't like it when another dog gets in his face, so to be safe, it would be best if he were an only dog. Luke's vet estimated year of birth is 2011.   Luke is such a sweet dog.  He would make a great companion, especially to someone who can provide a warm room with a soft bed and a loving touch.  Luke is house trained. He's a sweet older gentleman who would love a home.  Could you make sure the rest of his life is the best of his life?  ~~ Adoption donation $150. All vetting is up to date. Microchipped and altered.
