Meet Abeona! At 2 years old and 53 lbs, this Rottweiler mix is smart, active, affectionate, and honestly a little bit of a goof. She loves fetch, loves carrying toys around, and gets so excited to play that she sometimes forgets personal space exists for a second. It’s never aggressive, just enthusiastic. She already knows “sit” and “down,” rides great in the car, walks well on leash once she settles, and is both treat and toy motivated. Around new people, she can get jumpy because she’s genuinely thrilled to say hello, but she redirects well and responds nicely to structure. Abeona has done well passing other dogs and seems much more focused on making human friends. She would likely do best with older kids or an adult-only home that can match her energy level and continue giving her outlets to play and stay engaged. She’s also athletic enough to clear a 5-foot fence if she gets bored, so she’ll need a home that keeps both her brain and body busy. She’s a lot of personality in a 53 lb body, but for someone wanting a smart, playful, people-loving dog, Abeona is going to be very fun to love. As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.

Story
Ember is an energetic teenager. He was born 11/17/2024. He has not been neutered yet to protect his growing bones and muscles. He will continue to grow for approximately 6 more months. He’s a huggable love bug who needs a family with a fenced yard, daily walks, and a human he can count on to provide good nutrition and treats. His original adoption fee was $2000. I spent $2000 more on puppy school when he was almost 1 year old. He knows basic commands. His off lead return and lead walking both need further work. He knows all of this but he has not had the opportunity to adequately practice these skills due to my illness. All his vaccines are up to date including bordetella and canine flu vaccine. He uses Simparica Trio for flea tick and heartworm protection. He eats large breed purina pro plan and loves bully sticks, esophagus twist and pig ears for high value treats. I use mini maro bones for training treats. He is AKC registered without breeding rights.

He is a strong fella but he walks good on leash and is well behaved. Luke Bryan is very food motivated and will sit for treats! He wants to be your one and only and will need to be an only dog. He is not fond of children, so please no children. He weighs 89 pounds and he is heartworm negative. About 4 to 5 years old. MAJESTY- Rottie Mix Age 10-12 mo ✔️ Cat friendly ✔️ dog friendly ✔️ critter curious (geese) Majesty came to us scared of everything. She had fear based reactivity. The first two weeks she had to have a leash on in order for us to bring her in and out of the crate for potty breaks. She did not trust humans. Somewhere in her past they let her down. She was a scared puppy that had to have interaction with humans on her own terms. Our vet understood her fear based needs and spent lots of time low on the floor passing out treats, not pushing her boundaries. She has come so far and enjoys canine companionship. She is a follower, not a leader. She has been in my foster care for six months and is ready to find her forever family. Majesty weighs 60 pounds is crate trained . New surroundings she is on the timid side. Anything that is new and unchartered will require extra patience giving her the time to sniff and investigate before she will commit to confidence. We have been able to go to tractor supply happy visits to the vets office where there are no expectations except getting treats. She does good on walks, especially when there’s a companion with her. Best home for her is with another friendly outgoing, dog (s) home, potentially quieter home with older kids that wont force her into their personal space nor hers. She has slept in my room with my other dog. She is an avid agile talented counter surfer. Nothing food related is safe on the counters unattended . 🤦‍♀️She is a thief of the countertops. Poppy is a gentle and affectionate 3 hear old. Although a little shy at first, she is a very friendly dog who enjoys being around people and is very well-behaved. Poppy loves to spend her days lounging on the couch and receiving belly rubs, but she also likes to play and have fun. She would make a great addition to a family and would be a wonderful companion. Poppy gets along well with other dogs. Her shelter foster said she loved her kids but we were not told what age the kids are. Poppy weighed 64 pounds at her vet visit a month ago and needed to gain a few pounds. She is heartworm negative, current on vaccines and spayed.
