Story
Meet Jacob – A True Gentleman Looking for His Golden Years Home Jacob is the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being near. At 13 (almost 14) years old and a sturdy 52 pounds, he’s the definition of a sweet, easygoing companion who’s ready to enjoy life at a gentler pace. This all-around nice guy is as friendly as they come. Jacob loves people and greets everyone with a calm, happy demeanor. He’s well-mannered in public and makes a great sidekick for outings. He takes treats ever so gently, knows how to “sit,” and walks beautifully on a leash—no pulling, just pleasant strolls with his person by his side. Jacob also shows signs of being housetrained and is crate trained, making transitions into a new home smooth and stress-free. He seems to enjoy the company of others and would do best with other dogs who are low to medium energy, as his own vibe is more chill and laid-back. Whether you’re looking for a quiet walking buddy, a calm presence around the house, or just a loyal friend to share your days with, Jacob is the perfect match. He’s got a lot of love left to give and is hoping to spend his golden years surrounded by comfort, care, and kindness. Come meet Jacob—your gentle-hearted senior who’s ready to be someone’s very best boy. To meet Jacob, text his foster mom Krista at (336) 804-0954 to make an appointment!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi. my name is Dixie, and I just turned 2. I am super smart and learn new skills very quickly. I enjoy training and I am very agile. I would accelerate at most dog sports. I know how to use a doggy door and have also been known to use a window when there isn't a doggy door. I am the sweetest girl and love to please. I am very food motivated, but not aggressive. Grab some treats and I would love to go train or learn some new tricks.     I am spayed and up to date on all my vaccines. I am housebroken and crate trained.I am good with kids and other medium to large dogs. I need to be in a home without small dogs, cats or farm animals. I would thrive in an active home.     If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an application. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Hi. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, my name is Romeo and I am a very handsome 20 month old Rottweiler. There is a reason my name is Romeo…I will climb in your lap if you let me, I love to snuggle and I am very affectionate. I love to go for rides in the car, play at the park and go for walks on trails. I am friendly with people and love to play. I love to play ball and enjoy playing with the other rottweiler safe toys that my foster mom gives me. My favorite toy to play with is a giant rope bone! I do well with female dogs, but I do not get along with other male dogs. And as far as I am concerned cats look like great chew toys to me, so foster Mom says I need a home without cats.    I would do best in a home with a large fenced in yard where I can run and play, and with an owner who can provide leadership for me. I do well with older kids, but would be best in a home with out small children. I have had extensive obedience training and know all my basic commands. I am neutered, up to date on all vaccines and heart worm negative. I am housebroken, crate trained and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Ruby. I’m a super sweet, spirited just turned two-year-old girl who’s full of life. I was taken away from my previous owners along with my two sons, Batman and Robin. At the time, I weighed just 42 pounds. Since being rescued, I’ve gained weight, had all my necessary vetting done, and am now ready for a new home. I was just a baby when I had my boys, and I’ve spent the past year taking care of them. Even when I was hungry, I shared my food with them and never showed aggression. I’ve been an excellent mother, but I’m eager for my teenage sons to spread their wings and leave the nest. I would love a home where I can be treated like the special girl I am and have someone to care for me. I get along well with other dogs, but I genuinely believe I would prefer to be your one and only companion, or perhaps have another laid-back dog as a sibling. After spending so much time with my boys, I’m quite tired of all the energetic young dog antics.   I’m spayed, heartworm-negative, up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped. I’m also housebroken and crate trained. I have an abundance of love to give, so if you’re looking for a special, loving pup to add to your family and think I might be the perfect fit, please submit an application at http://www.arrfnc.com/info/adoption. Story
Our beautiful Gracie Ann... what can we tell you about her in this short bio? She was found some months back, dumped in a grocery store parking lot. Alone and scared. No idea why she was dumped, no idea what she had done wrong to be deserted. One of our rescue partners called us and we jumped into action! While, we normally cannot take dogs larger than 35#, we couldn't say "no". She needed us! Gracie joined the pack of one of our fabulous fosters and fell into the role of loving life, indoors and warm! When Gracie came to us, we thought she was pregnant. Her stomach was full like she was ready to give birth. We waited. No puppies. She ate a lot.... still no puppies. We took her to the vet and confirmed, not pregnant but was in heat. Her foster mom would be out of town for a few weeks, and we would have her spayed when she returned. Gracie started losing weight rapidly. We rushed her to the vet and found out that she had pyometra. This is life or death! One vet wanted to put her to sleep because the procedure is so costly! For a rescue, $5k is a lot to absorb! We got a second opinion and are so glad that we did! Our vet gave us hope! Gracie had the surgery that afternoon and it was touch and go for a while. She stayed in the hospital for days. Today, she is fully healthy! Her bloodwork is perfect! Gracie is 23 months old. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. She is spayed and chipped. Gracie is housetrained and can be trusted outside of a crate. She is such a great dog! She will do best in a home with another dog as she LOVES to play, and we do not feel that placing her without a companion is in her best interest. If you have room in your home and your heart for this sweetheart of a girl, please complete the adoption application, below: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html
