Story
Meet Bear! 🐻At five years old, Bear is a handsome Rottweiler with a heart as big as he is! This lovable guy is happiest when he's surrounded by his favorite humans or stretched out on the couch soaking up all the attention. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always ready for cuddles and quality time, Bear could be your perfect match.Bear is looking for a home where he can be the one and only canine companion. He prefers to have his people all to himself and isn't a fan of sharing their attention with other dogs.Like any dog, Bear will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help him be the very best version of himself. He's eager to build a strong bond with a family that will provide consistency, patience, and plenty of encouragement.Because Bear is a big, strong boy who doesn't always realize his size, he would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably interact with him.If you're ready to welcome a devoted best friend who will fill your home with love, loyalty, and lots of couch cuddles, Bear is waiting to meet you!If you would like to meet Bear he is a Delayed Adoption and will need to return to Barrie for his appointments and dental procedure. Our meet and greet adoption hours are 11 am - 5 pm, or you can give us a call at (705) 728-7311 ex.6 or email at barrie@ontariospca.ca for more information. Our dog adoption fee is $585.00, and all dogs are spayed or neutered, and come with vaccinations, de-wormer, microchip, and much more! Story
Meet Raptor, a sweet and affectionate boy who came to us after his family could no longer care for him. When Raptor arrived, he was struggling with severe skin and ear infections. After initial treatment with topical and oral medications, we saw some improvement. However, the relief was temporary, so we decided to make a dietary change to better manage his dermatologic conditions. Since then, Raptor has thrived! His skin and ears have cleared up completely, and he no longer needs topical or oral medication. He still enjoys weekly medicated baths, and his future family will be able to continue this routine as Raptor absolutely loves bath time! Raptor is a happy, energetic boy who enjoys going for walks and spending time with his people. He’s looking for a family that can keep up with his energy and offer him the love and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a big, sweet guy to join your family, Raptor just might be the perfect match for you!

Story
Choi is one strong guy! Most of the time he is tough and determined, but once he accepts you into his circle he is a real cuddle bear. He is so very loyal. Choi enjoys spending his days doing lots of tricks for treats, playing ball, and getting all the pets he can. Sometimes he'll even sit on your lap! When we first rescued Choi he had no leash manners or training. His reactivity and protective behaviour was very intense. Throughout the months of working with him we have seen a huge change in Choi. He is extremely food motivated and enjoys structure. He would benefit from someone who is active, has experience with dogs of his demeanor, and will have the time to continue his training long term. Choi would do best in an adult only home with no other pets, in a quiet environment. He can still be reactive towards dogs, vehicles, and strangers at times. Choi could go to a home with teens depending on the family's experience as a whole.
