Story
My name is Rocco,At first glance, I may look like the kind of dog who could guard a castle — broad chest, strong stance, that classic Rottweiler confidence. But spend even a moment with me, and you’ll realize I am just a big, soft, sucky boy who wants nothing more than a human to love. I am wonderful with strangers, gentle with children, and happiest when I am a part of the family action. I like to say I thrive on connection with people and would make an incredible companion for someone who wants a loyal, affectionate shadow. Here is what I am looking for: • A loving home where I can be the only dog• A family or individual who appreciates a big, cuddly companion• Someone who understands that behind my tough guy looks is a total sweetheartMy ideal Home includes: Children: YesOther dogs: NoCats: NoFirst time owner: An experienced owner would benefit meFenced in yard: could do well with or without a fenced in yard. Housing environment: apartment/house with a yard. Someone home most of the day: I do well on my ownSome other things to know: Activity level: Medium House trained: yesBirth date: 06.09.18

Hi… my name is Lui.I’m a gentle soul looking for a quiet, loving home where I can feel like myself again. I’m a little shy at first at the shelter. I am still learning to be confident, but with patience and kindness, I start to come out of my shell. Once I trust you, you’ll see my soft tail wags, my sweet heart, and the brave little steps I take every day. I just need someone willing to go slow, believe in me, and watch me bloom. My ideal home involves: Children: No thank you Other dogs: I do well with other dogscats: unknown- has never lived with cats First time dog owner: Experienced owner Fenced in Yard: Yes - 6feet fence House: house with a yard fenced in/ apartment Someone home most of the day: left alone for an 8hr work day is fine. Story
Hi! My name is Rose! I must say I am timid when you first meet me, but once I warm up, I become your shadow. I’ll follow you from room to room, curl up beside you during quiet evenings, and happily trot old or new adventures with you. I do love my toys, but I prefer a hard chewie toy to lay down, relax, and chew on. I don’t need anything fancy—just someone who sees the sweetness in me and wants to help me feel brave.Children: older children Other dogs: she is timid at first but doing well with other dogsCats: unknown, has not lived with cats beforeFirst time dog owners: experienced dog owner neededFenced in yard: yes or rural property not fenced. will need training and supervisionHousing environment: house/ apartment Someone home most of the day: An 8hr work day would be fineActivity level- medium-highhouse trained: YesBirthdate: 05.12.24If you are interest in getting to know Rose please fill out an adoption profile on our website or call the shelter for more information at 519/833.2287

Story
India Rottweiler/Boxer/Dogo Argentino mix (short coat) Large Adult Female   This gorgeous brindle gal is India a 4 year old, 100 pound mixed breed dog who will be up to date on her veterinary care and spayed prior to adoption.  Her current family is not able to provide her with the time or care she deserves.   India is housetrained and crate trained, although, a crate has not been used in the past year or so.  She is used to living in an apartment and is said to be quiet and comfortable being left alone while her family works full-time hours.  She may whine initially when left in a new environment.  She enjoys daily walks for exercise and to do her business.   India is a Mastiff mix, and as such, will most likely become very attached to her family members but may initially be a bit wary of new people and animals.  She warms up to women more quickly than men.  India is currently living with 2 toddlers and is good with them.   India has very limited experience with other dogs and has not lived with another dog.  She has a Husky friend she likes to interact with on leash.  She may react to other dogs when on leash walks who are as far away as on the other side of the street and needs a strong and confident owner to help her work through this behaviour using positive reinforcement based methods.  She has also never lived with a cat.   Her family is able to bathe and brush her and she has been professionally groomed.  Her regular groomer says she is good for grooms.  At the veterinarian, she is muzzled for invasive handling.  Muzzles can be a great tool to help dog handlers feel safe.   If you are looking for a loyal, large breed dog to snuggle with on the couch and believe you can provide India with the care she deserves, please fill out the Adoption Application on our website.     June 18, 2026, 6:49 pm
