Thank you for your interest in adopting Josie! Josie lives in an Alabama Foster Home and will Transport when she is Adopted. We strive to make every Adoption as smooth and easy as possible. We have been adopting pets to families in the northeast and New England for over 15 years. Josie comes from an oops litter. Mom is a Rotti looking dog, but not the large muscle dog we know. She may be mixed. Dad unknown. She's probably multiple breeds if you DNA test her. Based on her size, she will be a dog that weighs over 65 pounds. Josie is an old soul. She's quiet, submissive, respectful of people and pets. Josie lives in a home with a senior mom and daughter, an elderly dog, a pitbull and a bulldog, a couple of Chihuahuas, her sister and two cats. She is crate trained and doing wonderful in the home with house training. She is a super nice dog! Josie is spayed, rabies, up-to-date on vaccines, microchip, dewormed, and receiving parasite prevention. She comes with medical records. $585 total Adoption fee $345 to the Rescue $175 to the Transporter. We do not own the van. $65 to the vet for a health check and certificate before Transport Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you ASAP.

Buddy is such a wonderful boy. He has the heart of a puppy and loves to play. He’ll make an excellent family pet as he gets along fantastic with kids and other dogs.   His owner passed away and currently he is in foster care. All of his vetting was done in October 2025. He is heartworm negative, neutered, up-to-date on all vaccines.   He’s a big boy at 77 pounds. We do not know how he is with cats since he’s never been exposed to any.    His adoption fee is $350 and that includes the cost for transport.  ##2688185##

SEEKING A RESPONSIBLE AND EXPERIENCED ROTTWEILER OWNER FOR THIS CHARMING YOUNG MAN Meet Carlo, an exceptionally handsome nearly two-year-old Rottweiler. Carlo is a smart and eager learner, highly motivated by food and responsive to positive reinforcement training. He is looking for someone who will continue to develop his training and refine what he has already learned. While he occasionally needs reminders not to pull on the leash, he generally walks nicely. Currently, he resides with a female Rottweiler of similar size and gets along well with her. He has interacted with other female dogs of his size, but not all appreciated his playful nature. Interestingly, he is remarkably tolerant of smaller female dogs. Carlo enjoys playing fetch, excels at catching balls or treats, and is making great progress with sitting patiently for his food until given the command to eat. Due to his robust size and enthusiastic greetings, Carlo's best suited for homes with teens or older. He's working on his manners! Ideal adopters will have a fenced backyard (no electric fences, please) and a male dog-free zone—Carlo's not keen on sharing the spotlight with another dude. Apply at www.almosthomeri.org

Brutus's Story Brutus There’s no pre-heating needed to get this guy to warm up to you! Brutus has a sweet disposition and is friendly and affectionate with people right from the start. He’s easygoing, too – 30 minutes after we met him, he curled up and relaxed on the floor while the humans chatted around him. Rescued after being abandoned behind a restaurant, Brutus is estimated to be two to four years old. He is a good-size boy, weighing about 60 pounds, but is gentle and aware of his size. He takes well to being handled and groomed with a brush. Brutus walks nicely on leash and seems to be good around other dogs, showing interest and keeping calm. Bailey Robinson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!  Bailey is a special lady that will slowly and quietly work her way into your heart. Having spent most of her first year living outside with minimal human interaction she is slowly learning that being inside is pretty nice and humans can be too! She needs at least one other dog and a fenced yard. She extremely shy and skittish (flight risk at first), but will open once she builds trust and feels safe, but it will take time. Bailey loves to eat and once comfortable she is extremely food motivated, the quickest way to her heart is peanut butter and freeze dried liver. Once she trusts you she will come to you for pets and love.  She needs a very patient adopter willing to give her the time to adjust and trust, but it is well worth it. She is incredibly sweet. She will benefit from professional training to help her continue to make progress.  Teens and older only, busy kids are too much for her. She'd also prefer a quieter household with a consistent schedule and routine, too many visitors make her nervous.
