Story
Melanie was born on 4-28-23, potential rotti/lab mix. Sweet girl and good with kids. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
New Beginnings Shepherd Rescue is a volunteer based rescue, we work very hard to help as many adoptable GSDs as possible. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters across the country, so sadly we do not have any background information on them.....but we work very hard to get to know each and every dog brought into our program in need of a new beginning in their lives. We do not take animals with aggression problems (some may not like other dogs, cats, or may require older kids as opposed to younger children, but we will let you know everything that we know) most of these beautiful dogs have been faithful and loving family pets for their entire lives, yet still have lost their homes and families through no fault of their own. If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at https://www.newbeginningsrescue.com/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed. If you don't hear from us in 3 days, please send us a gentle reminder and one of us will get right on it. Please indicate the dog you are interested in meeting, where it says preference on the application! You may also email julie@newbeginningsrescue.com , we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. If you give them your heart, they will give you theirs.  April 24, 2024, 10:22 am

Story
Everyone that sees Luna says she is the happiest pup they have ever seen! Her whole body wags when she sees you! She is 9 months old, has completed obedience training and knows her stuff! She loves to get brushed, is able to be crated up to 8 hours and is never aggressive! Luna lost a hind leg at a very early age but that does not slow her down at all! She is able to hop up in the car and runs with the others as if she has all fours! She comes with a crate, bed, cot, a pin with room to spread out, food bowls, leash, collar w/info tag. I am struggling personally and want to find a good home while she is young. Luna will be a great addition to any home and will do well with children and other pets.

Story
Meet Wonder Woman! This sweet girl was part of our super hero litter and had 5 adorable little siblings! All of her siblings have gone off to find their forever homes but sadly little miss is still waiting patiently for her time! Wonder came to us from our rural shelter partner when she was a mere 6 weeks old! This was in the beginning of January! Sadly, due to being a black dog, even with how adorable she is, she is constantly overlooked. Now our sweet girl wonder is almost 4 months old! And while we are grateful she is not growing up in the shelter like so many other pups this baby deserves to grow up with her true forever family! Wonder woman is truly a gem of a pup. She is great with other dogs and cats! She has perfect manners in the home thanks to her foster dad! She is house trained and crate trained. She even got to enjoy the beach for the first time ever! If interested in adopting this little cutie apply today via our website! Our best guess on breed is super mutt and size wise our vet thinks she will be around 40/50 pounds fully grown!

Story
Meet Pogo our sweet tri-paw girl! Sadly this girl was found in a very rural part of South Carolina after being hit by a car. No one stopped to help her not even animal control. By the grace of god she was brought into a local vet by a good Sam who was able to get in touch with a very kind and caring staff member from the shelter. From there they were able to facilitate getting her to an ER. Sweet Pogo had extensive injuries including a very mangled back left leg. Sadly her leg was not saveable and it had to be amputated. This girl has healed beautifully and was in a foster home during that time. Sadly her foster had to leave and this girl landed back at the rural shelter even though she was still healing from her ordeal. We took one look and knew we couldn't leave her there. So we scooped her up and busted her out. Pogo is guessed to be some type of lab mix and weighs in just shy of 50 pounds. She's the perfect size and oh so sweet! Pogo adores other dogs, ignores the cats and does just fine with kiddos. Pogo is so sweet and loves her people hard. When its time to go to work she makes the most hilarious dinosaur noises and sings some sweet songs. She is dreaming of a forever home where she can be doted and spoiled as she should have been this whole time. This girl has a LOT of love to give and would do great in a family setting. She is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on her vaccinations. Pogo is more than ready for a new lease on life & to leave her past far far behind her. If interested in adopting Pogo apply today via our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org
