Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Have you ever wanted a pocket Rottweiler?  Well you can have a great one in pretty PENNY.  She is only 60 pounds and 2 years old and oh my gosh, she is the sweet little girl around.  PENNY is 2 years old and I hate to keep repeating myself but she is simple the sweetest. She has no aggression in any area and does not react to other dogs, she gets along with all of the dogs and loves to play.  She walks great on a leash and does not get sick in the car. PENNY was found running the streets of San Antonio, TX and after posting her on social media, no one was looking for her.  But that is okay because I am happy to have her in our rescue group. Of course she needs her own home and would make an excellent companion for any human as she is gentle and mild.  And she would be a great playmate for another dog. If you are interested in adopting PENNY, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         March 12, 2026, 9:09 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.I do not specialize in Rottweilers but I love them and rescue lots of them and this little girl has my heart.  Meet MEADOW, 60 pounds and 10 months old and as sweet as sugar.  She started off thin and I suspect she will get close to 80 pounds in the next 6 months.  She has a docked tail and loves belly rubs.  She will instantly fall on her back for a belly rub. MEADOW is a soft hearted and soft behaving beautiful girl that gets along with everyone.  Her play buddies are big and small.  She loves to just be a puppy, running zoomies, playing with toys, cuddling and especially getting snacks. She takes a bath good and walks well on a leash.  She would love a home with a pet playmate.  MEADOW is easy to train and completely crate and house trained but not ready to be left alone as she is a puppy.  I do not have any cats and not sure how she would do around them.  I have plenty of pictures of her but will try to get a video of her. If you are interested in adopting MEADOW, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Say hello to HUNTER, a 90 pounds big ole playful and happy guy, really he is so happy and loves to play with the other dogs.  HUNTER can be submissive believe it or not with his big self.  But sometimes when the other dogs play too rough, HUNTER retreats away from the rough housing. HUNTER is 5 years old and previously owned but somehow ended up on the streets of San Antonio, TX and picked up as a stray landing him in our city's very high-kill shelter.  His owners did not come for him, sad.  But we hope to make HUNTER have a happy ending by finding him a loving home he can relax in.  He is very mellow and so obedient. He is healthy and had a few teeth that needed to be removed that made his jaw swollen and look crooked.  Actually he still has a front tooth that sticks out and just makes him unique looking.  HUNTER would make a great family pet and he is a true Rottweiler who thinks he is a lap dog. If you are interested in adopting HUNTER, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.BUTTERCUP has been waiting for a home way too long to be such a smooth and friendly and playful girl.  She gets along with all of the dogs and plays nicely, she is obedient and easy to train.  Right now she does not know any commands except 'sit & off'.  The only exposure she has had with cats is the outdoor cats that pass by, she is curious about them but has no aggression towards them.   BUTTERCUP is 2 years old and weighs 75 pounds and originally was picked up from the streets of San Antonio, TX and ended up in our very high-kill shelter.  We rescued her from a sure death because as you know her breed is considered a bully breed.  A bully she is NOT, just a playful 2 year old who wants to have fun and enjoys walking.  She does not get car sick. If you are interested in adopting BUTTERCUP, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This is the kind of guy you wish your daughter would bring home.  Kind, caring, house, potty and crate trained, loves everyone, well-mannered, good natured, non-barker and just checks every box the right way.  SKIP is fantastic!!!  He would make the perfect companion for another pet or a human, loves kids.  Sorry I do not have a cat so I do not know how he would get along with them. The pictures of him are not so great and I will work on getting better ones very soon.  SKIP is not the biggest Rottweilers at 48 pounds and 3 years old and he has a unique look with some white in his chest, his tail is docked.  His temperament and behavior stands way above a lot of Rottweilers that I have met and I am a big Rottweiler lover.  I love this guy and you couldn't ask for a better pet. SKIP was found at a popular burger joint at the door greeting everyone as they came in!  He was polite, non-threatening and happy.  I cannot imagine why someone would give this guy up.  He is a bit underweight and he loves to eat.  Easy to train with treats. If you would like to adopt SKIP, please submit an application on the website below and you are welcome to call me anytime to discuss.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Meet Justin, a handsome short-coat Chihuahua mix with a warm brown coat, soulful eyes, and the kind of face that always looks like he’s listening closely to you. At 17 pounds and about 6 years old, Justin is the perfect “small-but-sturdy” sidekick—made for couch snuggles, movie nights, and being your constant little shadow. Justin came from a heartbreaking situation, He was left behind in an apartment with a bunch of other dogs in a hoarding environment, and he’s been starved for attention ever since. In the best way possible, Justin simply cannot get close enough to his person and wants to be right next to you. He’ll let you know how much he needs that connection. He’s affectionate, sweet, and genuinely happiest when he’s included in whatever you’re doing and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Because of what he’s been through, Justin will not do well in a home where people are gone all the time. He’s looking for someone with a lifestyle that allows for steady companionship, the kind of home where he can follow you around, curl up beside you, and finally feel like he belongs. If you’ve been wanting a best buddy who’s always happy to see you and eager to share your everyday life, Justin is your man. Justin is heart worm negative and Chagas negative. Story
Izzie is a 6 year-old, 50-pound boxer mix with a remarkable story of love and resilience. Found under a porch with her puppies, she was rescued by children who crawled under the house to bring her and her little ones to safety. Since then, Izzie has been the mama to many dogs here, offering her nurturing spirit and playful energy—but now it’s her turn to be cherished. Healthy and amazing (she’s cured of Chagas!), Izzie is playful, affectionate, and loves people. She would happily leap into your arms for cuddles and attention. A puppy training class would help her polish her basic commands, but her eagerness to please makes her a quick learner. Izzie longs for her own forever family—one that will let her cuddle in the cool AC, run and play outdoors, and finally enjoy the love she’s given to so many others. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start her new life as the beloved companion she was always meant to be. Izzie is located at our shelter near San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to Chelsea, MI on June 20th with approved application and confirmed adoption. Her adoption fee is $450.
