Story
Welcome Barney to CCPAL Foster Program. Rocky is a 60 lb Rottweiler dog. He looks to be a very high mix or pure-bred dog. He has a bobbed tail and is decent on the leash. He does fine on a car ride. He requires some assistance getting in right now. It is adorable. He kneels and you must put his front paws up. I do not think this boy has done too many rides. He stays in the backseat and was nice and friendly meeting me as a stranger. People that love this breed love it because of their loyalty to their human. We would love a person who has owned this breed to be his new adopter. It always is best if someone knows the breed and how to best work with the breed and handle it. He seems like ever other amazing big dog but we know that a good dog is a dog that has all his needs met. He isn’t too energetic but not a couch potato either. He is a good amount of energetic and chill. He also keeps his feet on the floor and doesn’t jump up on people which is nice. He should bond nicely and be very loyal. His situation is that he had a family but there was a death in the family and his owner is now caring for small children. He is good with children but his owner does not have time to spend with him because of the unexpected circumstances. He is vaccinated, heart worm negative and good with other dogs. We don’t know about cats. We will be working to get him crate trained. He is attentive and smart. He will make some family a very great pet. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get Barney to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Brutus to CCPAL Rescue. Brutus is a 2.5 year old Terrier/Rottweiler mix is our best guess of his blend. He weighs about 55 pounds. He is athletic and has a shorter not to much of a shedding dog. I call this dog a man dog. He loves men as the kennel workers are all men and they take great care of him. He is a strong dog but walks well on the leash after he his excitement of a walk has ended. He would be a great jogging, walking or hiking companion. He will sit when you ask him to and he is affectionate. He would be a great companion dog for someone wanting a dog to join them in all their outdoor activities. He is eager to please and not hard to get his willingness to comply. He has a very cute ear that is wonky and it adds to his adorableness in our opinion. He is vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He could go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Story
Stella is a sweet girl, very well behaved and even tempered. She is 7 months old, had all her shots, and been through a 2 week obedience/board training. She is house/potty trained and crate trained. She is very affectionate and loves to have her belly rubbed. She loves to be around people and loves to be petted. I got Stella from a breeder, so she is pure Rottweiler. I just want her to go to a deserving family because she is just so good.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Prince.  This handsome boy was shot and left for dead in a dumpster.  Somehow this brave boy managed to crawl out.  When he was found he had curled up on a couch, gave up, waiting for death.  A volunteer was contacted and we rushed him to the vet. He was shot in the eye, the bullet grazed his brain and lodged in his chest.  He came in with a severe infection in both the eye.  After a week in the ICU, a plasma transfusion and eye enucliation he is ready for a new home.   Prince is great on a leash, absolutely loves people and is very friendly.  However he is cat and dog reactive and needs to be the only pet.  He constantly wants to be with his people.  He will need a privacy or 6 foot fence if he is going to be left alone or he will try to find you by jumping out. Prince was born around 11/2021 and he weighs 50 pounds.  HIs adoption fee is $300.  You can apply for Prince at www.adoggie4you.org.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2023, 8:56 pm

Story
Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST!!! I am the same way, I am sweet on one side and salty on the other- together we are perfect! I have a tale to tell, however, none of it matters anymore because I am here right now to tell you- the best is yet to come! I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. I am good with calm older dogs, not much for puppy energy all.the.time... :) I love kids, and would be great with school aged/teenagers (and not many others LIKE teenagers so I can be their buddy :) and would be good in a calmer/quieter home. I want so much to please my family and will look to you for love and attention. I also need a strong leadership family- I have tried to take over control in my first adoptive home and it was not appreciated. SO, you need to be my boss, it's not hard- just let me know you are someone I can trust to keep me safe and take EXCELLENT care of me- with love and more love and I will LET you be in control. Simple as that :) I am a big boy, about 75#, with GORGEOUS colors and markings. I will melt your heart when you look into my amber eyes and into my sweet soul. So don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! I need to stay in TX so my rescuers can keep tabs on me and see me every once in awhile, cause they are going to MISS ME!!! But, adoption is why I am here, so they will get over it! Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
