Odin_A2183624 Years, Intact MaleBlack and Tan Rottweiler OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: Sweet, silly and playful. Would do best with someone that is familiar with his breed. He is a large dog and will knock children down when playing. Walks well on the leash and is good taking food from your hand. He will give you kisses if you let him! Odin had a very minor bite (teeth scraped the cheek) to a teenager when they were playing in the park. A bite disclosure will need to be signed upon adoption. Enjoys playing with soft, squeaky toys and walks well on the leash. Does well with dogs his size or slightly smaller. Doesn’t seem to like smaller dogs and may chase a cat if he had the opportunity. Rottweilers need a person that can direct them to make good choices. If you are unfamiliar with the breed and are considering adopting Odin, please do your research. Weighs 95 pounds; $25 to adopt.

I am a 4.5 year old Rottweiler mix, and I weigh about 70lbs currently, which is a little heavy for me. I need to lose a few pounds before winter hits so I can look my best in any holiday photos. You know how it is. It should be easy for me to shed those lbs, because I like to go on walks and play fetch. I'm also pretty good at jogging, if that's your preferred mode of exercise! Basically, I'm asking if you could be my weight loss buddy, because I've heard it's easier if there's a friend holding you accountable. And really, what I love MOST is to just chill out and be a couch potato with my humans. I am a great, warm, soft buddy to binge watch your favorite show with. Is your favorite season winter? Mine is! I can snow-shark all day long!   I prefer slow introductions to people and other dogs but once I've learned to trust you we will be best friends. My foster mom says that I have a tough exterior but a squishy interior. I am house and crate trained and I go in my kennel when I'm asked. And I'm pretty quiet too. Meet Poncho.  This adorable gentle giant is a sweetheart!  He is playful and loving.  This boy can make friends easily.  He is still young and has plenty of energy to play around.  He is good on the leash, and sometimes tends to pull a little if something catches his eye.  He needs an active family and a fenced backyard.  He will transition easily in to any family. Poncho was found wondering the streets and almost hit by a car.  He was so happy to have been rescued.  He has been amazing at his foster mom's home.  He is ready to have a family of his own.   Poncho is currently in a foster home in Houston, but transport is available to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  He is just waiting to catch your eye! www.springbranchrescue.org for adoption info and fees. OBSERVED BY SHELTER STAFF: We aren’t exactly sure if Clifford is a purebred dog with dwarfism or is mixed with possibly a short-leg dog breed. His legs are short for his stature. Regardless, he’s a really sweet boy. He is a bit shy at first and nervous with new situations. He becomes very cuddly once comfortable with you and will follow you around or want to sit in your lap! He loves attention and loves to be pet. He isn’t a fan of loud noises or fast movements; a home with older, dog-savvy children is highly recommended. Treat motivated and takes them gently from your hand. When Clifford came in, he was very matted; he went to the groomers and had to have his fur shaved. He is a dog that will require daily brushing of his fur, as he doesn’t shed it on the floor. He walks well on the leash and knows the sit command. He’s friendly toward the other dogs here at the shelter and gets nervous around cats. Weighs 50 pounds; $25 to adopt.

Meet Martin.  This adorable boy is the happiest boy out there!  He has plenty of energy to go around for all of us.  Martin loves playtime with his foster buddies of the same energy.  They run and run and play all day.  He is crate trained and housebroken.  Martin has been around some cats and has done very well.  A house with another dog would be the perfect fit for his needs.  HE is loving and would make a great addition to any family. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and our Canadian adopters can drive to Bellingham for pick ups.
