Story
Meet Poncho.  This adorable gentle giant is a sweetheart!  He is playful and loving.  This boy can make friends easily.  He is still young and has plenty of energy to play around.  He is good on the leash, and sometimes tends to pull a little if something catches his eye.  He needs an active family and a fenced backyard.  He will transition easily in to any family. Poncho was found wondering the streets and almost hit by a car.  He was so happy to have been rescued.  He has been amazing at his foster mom's home.  He is ready to have a family of his own.   Poncho is currently in a foster home in Houston, but transport is available to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  He is just waiting to catch your eye! www.springbranchrescue.org for adoption info and fees. We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. ##1653082##

Story
This smiley and happy girl is Penny and her tail never stops wagging! Penny is a 2-3 year old Border Collie X Boxer mix and weighs about 36 pounds. She is a medium energy girl and loves playing with balls and sticks. She is also house trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and gets along well with the other dog in her foster home. She is very easy going, and will stare longingly and lovingly into your eyes. Penny is crate trained, but she is such a good girl she can be trusted left out in the house. Penny would love a family who will play with her in the daytime and cuddle with her on the couch in the evenings.Penny came to us with a right front leg fracture that did not receive medical attention at the time of the injury. Our trusted vets do not feel that surgery is necessary and Penny is still very active and does not let this slow her down! She is looking for an adoptive home that can offer her an active but balanced lifestyle, recognizing when she needs some downtime to rest. Penny will also need to be provided with supplements that support joint and bone health and will likely develop arthritis down the line as she ages and may need anti-inflammatory/pain meds from time to time. If you are looking for an extra loving girl who is looking for an extra loving family then please apply online at caws.org. Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Thanks! If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 22, 2023, 7:42 am

*Dopey, cheerful, amiable* Moses has a sunny disposition and is happy to go with the flow. His leash manners could use some work but he is very gentle and would do well with little kids. He already knows sit and is happy to work for his food. He is friendly with other dogs and mostly trots around doing his own thing. He is still trying to figure out how house training works and may do better as an outside dog when the humans aren't home to supervise. That's okay with him because he loves to patrol the yard and sniff everything! Moses is 7 years old but age isn't slowing him down yet! Come meet this chipper boy today! Visit www.cachehumane.org for more information on how to adopt me!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey y’all, My name is Dolly Lu and I’m pretty sure I love you already!! I’m a 6 month old Boxer/Pointer X. I weigh about 30lbs and will likely grow to be 45-50lbs. I’m currently working on leash training, not jumping up when the humans get home (I get so excited) and the last thing, I’m really not proud of, but I should probably be honest if this is going to work.. I have a thing for socks I know, terrible, right? I promise I will get it under control Now moving on, I want y’all to know I’m House trained, doggy door trained, crate trained, I’m good with kiddos (one of my best friends is a 5yr old) &with other dogs, and I’m smart/treat motivated to learn quickly. I’m happy to go on adventures as well as chill out at home. Speaking of adventures, I’ve been going to the farmers markets with my foster mom and it’s been a great experience!! Anywho, I’m not a picky girl, I would love a family who will play with me, snuggle me as I’m thee best cuddle bug and maybe a family that has another doggy sibling to play with. I’m so ready for a place to call home and to build a companionship with my forever family, and if you think that could be you and would like to meet me then please apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 22, 2023, 9:36 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi I’m Whinnie! I’m 5-6 months old and believed to be a Boxer mix, maybe with some Great Dane. So I will be a big girl when I’m done growing!       I’m a pretty great puppy! But I am still a puppy so I have lots of energy, love to play and still need help knowing what is good and bad. I can be a bit of a couch hog, I have long legs and I love to stretch them out on a soft couch, but don’t worry I’m also a great cuddler!       Potty training is going great. I haven’t had any accidents but I also haven’t quite figured out how to tell you I need to go potty so I do need to go outside frequently.       I’m perfect in my crate, even if you’re up and moving around I have no problem just watching quietly from my crate. I easily sleep through the night and have made it through 7 hour work shifts with no accidents in my crate. I already know sit and down, walk pretty well on leash, but could definitely still use some more training there, and have gotten much better about jumping on people. You can reach your hand into my bowl while I eat and I don’t mind when other dogs are near me while I eat either and I take treats gently.       I’m also super friendly! I’m pretty sure every person wants to be my best friend, even on walks I want to say hi to all the people we pass, and I haven’t met a dog I didn’t love! But I am willing to tell a dog when they’re being too rough with me or coming on too strong but am still happy to be their friend. I can also be very vocal when I play so don’t be alarmed by my ferocious sounds! I also like to talk to you sometimes, to let you know when I’m super excited or really want something.        I’ve only met one cat so far but was very calm and respectful! Even though I’m super interested and really wanted to be friends when she said no I backed off easily.      I would love a family that will definitely continue my training and socialization so I can grow up to be the best girl possible! In return I will be your best friend, loyal companion, and adventure and snuggle buddy. Do I sound like a match for you? Story
Meet Dexter, the playful goofball with a heart of gold! He's on a mission to find his forever home and he's ready to steal your heart. Not only is Dexter great at making friends, but he's also loves car rides. He is good with both dogs, cats, and kids. He's the perfect companion for leisurely walks and can't resist a belly rub. But there's more to Dexter than meets the eye - he's already mastered housebreaking and crate training and is eager to learn new tricks. Sadly, Dexter's dad had to surrender him when he was deployed in the military. Now, we're hoping to find Dexter a loving home where he'll be cherished forever. If Dexter has captured your heart, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org to complete an adoption application. We'll get back to you within a day or so to set up a phone interview and make sure Dexter finds his perfect match. Let's make Dexter's dreams come true and give him the loving home he deserves! Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1794074##

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life.
