Story
Charlie is a 4-5 year old, female Rottweiler from South Los Angeles Animal Shelter. It is clear Charlie had a hard life prior to arriving at South LA shelter. She was very emaciated... incredibly underweight for her size and age: 63lbs. Her ribs and hips were visible but luckily, she was with a wonderful foster who has gotten Charlie to a healthy weight! Additionally, Charlie was a mama who has had a litter or two. Charlie is the most loving girl who was dealt an awful hand at life but now, is looking for a caring, loving and committed family to show her how wonderful the world can truly be! Charlie loves snuggles on the couch, being by her person and patrolling a backyard. She is all the wonderful things about a Rottie: loyal, loving, serious with a hint of goofy, alert and willing to learn! She is learning leash manners, crate training, and how to be loved at the rescue in SLC, Utah currently. We are looking for a home that knows the Rottweiler breed and can give this girl all of the love and structure that she needs to thrive!

Zero is a 4 year old neutered, male Rottweiler from Riverside shelter. He was found tied to a stop sign in California. The day that we went to save him, the shelter had already labeled him as"euthanized," because he was next to be killed. Zero came to us afraid, reactive and weary. He has made tremendous progress in the time we have had him! His favorite thing in the world is playing with a ball and going for walks. He is great on walks, loves exploring new outdoor spaces and rolling in the grass, and is the perfect dog to cuddle up with on the sofa. Once you truly gain his trust, Zero will be the most loyal velcro dog! As with most Rottweilers, Zero needs a strong leader to respect his boundaries while also implementing structure. Z would thrive in a home that can continue the training that we have started and has experience with the breed!

Story
Hi future family! My name is Churro and I’m an 2.5 year old boxer mix and weigh about 60 lbs. I’m a bit on the shy side when we first met but as soon as I warm up I’m a huge love bug. I’ll even be your couch snuggle buddy if you let me! I do well with kids and dogs. I love going to the dog park and playing with all the dogs. Cats are unknown but I’d probably be more afraid of them and just leave them alone. I’m house trained and crate trained. However I do not like being left in my crate for long periods of time! I start getting a little anxious! I need a little help with my lash manners and I get so excited to see all the dogs and just want to play! My forever family should be committed to continuing my training so I can be my best sweet self and learn to gain some confidence. I would love an active family to take me on lots of adventures and cuddle with me in the evenings. Don't miss out on this chance to enjoy the puppy stage with this fun loving guy! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Churro, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application/ If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJanuary 8, 2026, 5:57 am

Meet Mocha &#226&#152&#1497–8 years old • 67 lbs • Rottweiler/Husky MixMocha is a stunning black-and-tan beauty with the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. At 7–8 years old, she’s the perfect mix of gentle, affectionate, and laid-back. Mocha may be diabetic, but her condition is very manageable—she takes her morning and evening insulin shots like a total champ, and she’s on an affordable insulin that runs about $25 per vial. She’s also on prescription WD food to keep her healthy and thriving. This lovely lady had a dental (with no extractions!) and is doing great. She’s housetrained, has had zero accidents in her foster home, and sleeps soundly through the night—usually curled up right next to her people. She’s crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated during the day since she’s so well-mannered; instead, she’s happy lounging on the couch and keeping you company.Mocha enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions, though she prefers her space and would be happiest in a calm, stable home with older kids or adults. A backyard would be ideal so she can easily pop outside for her potty breaks. What makes Mocha extra special is her heart—she gives the gentlest kisses, soaks up affection, and is endlessly grateful for love and care. After being found as a stray, she is ready to finally have the safe, loving forever home she deserves. With her steady routine and tender personality, Mocha has so many years of companionship and unconditional love left to give. Mocha is fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis—we strive to find the best match for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
Meet our very special boy, Dexter! This sweetie is a big lover. Dexter enjoys playing in the yard, long walks in the park, car rides, ice cream cones, and snuggling on the sofa. Dexter takes a minute to get to know you, but then he's your best friend. This guy would make a perfect jogging partner or hiking buddy. Dexter gets along with other dogs with a proper introduction. He is a bit rough and tumble with his playing, so he would need a patient doggy friend. Dexter has been raised around cats and leaves them alone. Dexter can be a bit stand-offish with strangers and needs to be slowly introduced. We strongly encourage adopters to attend a Begining Training Class to help guide them through teaching their pup to be a calm, confident, well-mannered dog. We offer a rebate of $50 on the adoption fee upon completion of a training class. Dexter is going to make some lucky person very happy!

LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has.
