Story
Hi future family! My name is Churro and I’m an 2.5 year old boxer mix and weigh about 60 lbs. I’m a bit on the shy side when we first met but as soon as I warm up I’m a huge love bug. I’ll even be your couch snuggle buddy if you let me! I do well with kids and dogs. I love going to the dog park and playing with all the dogs. Cats are unknown but I’d probably be more afraid of them and just leave them alone. I’m house trained and crate trained. However I do not like being left in my crate for long periods of time! I start getting a little anxious! I need a little help with my lash manners and I get so excited to see all the dogs and just want to play! My forever family should be committed to continuing my training so I can be my best sweet self and learn to gain some confidence. I would love an active family to take me on lots of adventures and cuddle with me in the evenings. Don't miss out on this chance to enjoy the puppy stage with this fun loving guy! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Churro, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application/ If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJanuary 14, 2026, 6:05 am

Story
Huncho is an amazing family-oriented dog. He's been apart of our family of 6 since he was 7 weeks old. He is now 4 years old. We also had another dog in the home that he grew up with. Like all Rottweilers, he's a high-energy dog that loves playtime. Huncho does thrives when surrounded with families but can also be loyal to one person. He does well with larger dogs - especially females. He has completed a 10 week board and train program. His nature is to work. So he loves chores, tasks, etc. I would not consider him to be a "high maintenance" dog. He loves his kennel. Due to his high energy personality, he will do better at a home with a big yard OR someone willing to take him on walks regularly. Like all dogs, he is highly motivated by treats and toys. Specifically fetch toys.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Urzila! I’m a gorgeous 2-year-old, 85lb female Rottweiler, and I’m looking for my forever family! I’m a very sweet and special girl. I am a nice, moderate energy. I love to chase my ball and play with toys. I love to take walks and then snuggle on the couch. I love my people so much. I’m a very affectionate girl. Are you the type who likes a weighted blanket? Because I AM a weighted blanket! And I’m thrilled to share my warmth with you. I am fine with most dogs, but would be happiest as an only pup. My housemates try to get me to play and I really have no interest in any of that. But I LOVE when my people pay attention to me! I like smaller humans, too, but I’m big and a bit clumsy, so kids over 10 would probably be best for me. When I came to my foster mom she noticed I had some funny behaviors, mostly that I bounced in a very cute (but uncommon) way. She thought it looked like I was dancing! We went to the vet and he said I have a neurological deficit that gives me my funny walk and makes me a bit clumsy. It also makes me a little less tolerant of dogs with energy I don’t enjoy. There are no ongoing medical issues, I’m a happy, healthy girl! It does take me a bit longer to learn things, but (lucky for you!) I’m already completely potty trained, fabulous in my crate and have nice house manners. Do you think I could be the girl for you? Story
Meet our very special boy, Dexter! This sweetie is a big lover. Dexter enjoys playing in the yard, long walks in the park, car rides, ice cream cones, and snuggling on the sofa. Dexter takes a minute to get to know you, but then he's your best friend. This guy would make a perfect jogging partner or hiking buddy. Dexter gets along with other dogs with a proper introduction. He is a bit rough and tumble with his playing, so he would need a patient doggy friend. Dexter has been raised around cats and leaves them alone. Dexter can be a bit stand-offish with strangers and needs to be slowly introduced. We strongly encourage adopters to attend a Begining Training Class to help guide them through teaching their pup to be a calm, confident, well-mannered dog. We offer a rebate of $50 on the adoption fee upon completion of a training class. Dexter is going to make some lucky person very happy!

Story
Meet Mocha &#226&#152&#1497–8 years old • 51 lbs • Rottweiler/Husky MixMocha is a stunning black-and-tan beauty with the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. At 7–8 years old, she’s the perfect mix of gentle, affectionate, and laid-back. Mocha may be diabetic, but her condition is very manageable—she takes her morning and evening insulin shots like a total champ, and she’s on an affordable insulin that runs about $25 per vial. She’s also on prescription WD food to keep her healthy and thriving. This lovely lady had a dental (with no extractions!) and is doing great. She’s housetrained, has had zero accidents in her foster home, and sleeps soundly through the night—usually curled up right next to her people. She’s crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated during the day since she’s so well-mannered; instead, she’s happy lounging on the couch and keeping you company.Mocha enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions, though she prefers her space and would be happiest in a calm, stable home with older kids or adults. A backyard would be ideal so she can easily pop outside for her potty breaks. What makes Mocha extra special is her heart—she gives the gentlest kisses, soaks up affection, and is endlessly grateful for love and care. After being found as a stray, she is ready to finally have the safe, loving forever home she deserves. With her steady routine and tender personality, Mocha has so many years of companionship and unconditional love left to give. Mocha is fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis—we strive to find the best match for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process.
