Story
Strong, smart, a little silly, and very enthusiastic about a game of fetch… this is Ohlee! She has a cool, calm confidence but still lights up when the fun begins. A Rottweiler with a playful side, a friendly nature and a big ol’ heart, how could anyone resist? Want to see this fetch-loving beauty in action? Head over to YouTube and then come right back to learn more about the girl who ran away with out heart. Ohlee is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 74 lbs. She appears to be a Rottweiler through and through, just a slightly more petite version of the classic look. As always with rescue, breed and birthday are our best guess. During her assessment, Ohlee made an impression right away. She greeted people with friendly curiosity and has a relaxed confidence that makes everyone smile and makes her easy company. When it was time to show-off what she knows, she showed that she has great basic leash skills and is happy to engage with her handler. Smart girl energy all the way. And then there’s the fetch. Ohlee absolutely understands the assignment. Toss the ball and she’s off with joyful purpose, bringing it right back with a gentle mouth and zero toy possessiveness. It’s the kind of easy, cooperative play that makes backyard time extra fun. With other dogs, Ohlee was an absolute star. Calm, confident, friendly… and also perfectly content doing her own thing. She greeted every dog politely and then often wandered off to sniff the yard like a happy little explorer. She initiated play a couple of times, but she seems more like a “short play session and then back to sniffing” kind of girl. Overall she gives off that wonderful medium-to-low energy vibe that makes her easy company for people and dogs. Ohlee is fostered in a loving home with a wide variety of dogs and her foster family praises her for being house and crate trained with great house manners. She is calm, respectful, and learns quickly. Ohlee has shown that living with cats isn’t the right match for her, so she’ll need a feline-free home moving forward. Otherwise, Ohlee is the kind of dog who fits into many lifestyles. With her steady temperament and moderate energy level, she could even thrive in an apartment environment as long as the building allows larger breeds and she gets her daily walks and the occasional game of fetch. If you’ve been dreaming of a loyal companion who mixes classic Rottie charm with a playful spirit and easygoing presence, Ohlee is your girl! Story
Okay but listen… you are not ready for Marcus Bear. Big, blocky head? Check. Squishy, kissable cheeks? Absolutely. Heart of solid gold? Without question. He’s the total package: gentle, steady, incredibly tolerant, and so patient it almost feels unreal. This boy is so easygoing you could put him in the most ridiculous dress-up props imaginable and he would just sit there like, “Is this what we’re doing? Okay.” Hats? Fine. Bandanas? Sure. Tiny sunglasses? Why not. He’s that tolerant. The kind of dog who just wants to be included and loved. And that face. The classic Rottie squish. The kind you just want to cup in your hands and smooch. Marcus Bear isn’t just a good dog, he’s the kind of dog families dream about. Loyal. Loving. Dog friendly. Kid approved. Ridiculously tolerant. Built like a tank. Soft like a marshmallow. And there is so much more! Watch his video and fall in love: https://youtu.be/XS81f3NYdmw?si=9Cy71AcyMRhVFW1X Marcus Bear is believed to be a Rottweiler mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 78 lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Marcus the perfect combination of affection while also being independent. He’s not overly needy with his love nor does he ever over do it. If you’re someone that works from home, he’ll be a great work from home buddy because he’s not going to be constantly begging you for attention or getting into things he shouldn’t be (he has wonderful house manners I might add). He’s the type that will come up to you when the time is right for a little ear/nose scratch almost as if he knew you needed a 5 min break from work. As for the rest of the time, he’s a window watcher and loves looking out windows or he’ll be playing with a toy. While Marcus waits for his forever family, he is being spoiled by his foster family and they absolutely adore him and rave about him. He is currently fostered in a multi-kid household with some being as young a 3 years old, and Marcus has been nothing but sweet perfection around the kids in his foster home. They have the best time playing together, snuggling, and he loves being a part of a family dynamic. Marcus is very tolerant with all of the kids in the home and just loves them to pieces. He has no issues when the kids are playing with his toys, running around, and is frequently found giving them the gentlest kisses. It’s the sweetest thing! If you have kids and are looking for a bestie for your kiddos, Marcus is definitely your guy. Not only is Marcus great with kids, he is also very dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced him to and is also fostered in a home with an 8 month old playful pittie mix. Marcus has been around dogs all with different personalities and has done great with every single one. Marcus is wonderful about meeting new dogs and will either play with them or will go off and do his own thing. That’s what is so great about him, the way he is able to adapt to the dogs around him. He can run around, have a good time and he also just as happy going off and doing his own thing while the other dogs are being wild. Marcus would love to have a dog sibling in the home, but if you don’t have one, that’s okay too. He does not need the company of another dog to satisfy his energy needs or to help him open up. Marcus would love to be in a home with a backyard where he can sunbathe anytime he wants, roll in the grass, and explore all the fun smells. He would make a great companion while you garden and relax on the patio enjoying the fresh air. He’ll enjoy going on neighborhood walks, mini adventures and then will happily lay next to you for cozy time. Marcus is such a good boy, a 10/10. Now, he just needs a family to call his own. We are willing to test Marcus Bear with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? ** This dog is not in the direct care of Happy Tails Happy Homes - Her current owner needs to rehome her and we are assisting with that process. If you are interested in this dog, please fill out an application at https://www.happytailshappyhomes.org/adoptionform ** Raya is an 11-year-old senior Rottweiler/Retriever (Black Labrador) mix with a beautiful black and brown coat. She is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who truly believes she’s a 100-lb lap dog. She’s incredibly sweet and greets her people with excited howls when they come home. Raya does wonderfully with people of all ages, including small children, and loves attention and companionship. She gets along well with most dogs, especially those who enjoy playing, but she does best when introductions are done on leash. She hasn’t been around other animals besides dogs. Raya was rescued and has a skin condition affecting her tail and one paw, as well as a chicken allergy, so she will need an owner who can continue managing her care. Due to a recent period of unemployment and now working long hours, her owner is no longer able to give her the time, attention, and care she deserves. Raya would thrive in a home where she can get plenty of love, attention, and consistent care. She is a loyal, gentle companion who just wants to be close to her people. Story
Kora is a stunning, solid-built 5-year-old Rottweiler with both beauty and depth to match. Beneath her confident presence is a girl who has endured more than her fair share—having once trusted the wrong people, she was placed in situations that let her down, ultimately leading to homelessness and even a failed adoption. Despite it all, Kora has held onto her spirit and her ability to connect, and she’s ready to find someone worthy of that loyalty. True to her breed, Kora is fun, affable, and absolutely loves attention—she’s the kind of dog who will happily soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. She can get overexcited at times and, like many strong Rottweiler females, may test boundaries if they aren’t clearly established. She thrives with a handler who provides calm, consistent leadership and earns her respect rather than giving her free rein from day one (and yes—she doesn’t need to be sleeping in your bed right away!). Kora has a classic “pushy but soft” Rottweiler personality. She responds well to clear verbal corrections and, when needed, an occasional fair collar correction if her pushy side starts to take over. She is well-trained on leash and understands her work, making her enjoyable to handle in structured settings. She also has some off-leash experience using an e-collar, giving her a solid foundation that can be built on with the right person. While she is dog selective—as many dominant females are—this is very manageable with a knowledgeable, confident handler who understands how to advocate for her and maintain structure. What makes Kora truly special is her heart. Once you earn her respect, she offers a bond that is deep, loyal, and incredibly fulfilling—the kind of connection that only a well-bred, old German-style Rottweiler can give. Kora is currently working on getting back to her ideal shape, as she’s carrying a little extra weight. She’s on a diet and making great progress toward a leaner, more muscular physique. To set her up for lasting success, her future adopter should be committed to continuing her journey with at least 3–4 training sessions. There is more to her story, and we want to ensure she never faces the instability she’s known before. Kora is a truly lovely girl who just needs the right person—someone who will lead her, respect her, and in return receive one of the most meaningful canine partnerships imaginable.

Story
Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey! I was found when I was only 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted shortly after but returned due to being a snarky teenager and showing tenacity and energy common with my breeds. Training would have been key! Anyway, since coming back, I have spent almost **4.5 years** living on GDR's ranch property in Texas. I’ve been overlooked all this time and it’s time for that to change! I have now been in a foster home for a few months. It took some time to adjust to being indoors again but I have learned the wonders of ✨air conditioning✨. It also took time to adjust to “less dogs” but I‘m loving my newfound personal space. There are other dogs in my foster home but, at my age, I prefer dogs that match my low energy. I may even be fine as the only dog. Kids, same thing, I prefer ones that are old enough to respect my space and low energy. Certainly no cats or other small animals for me! I still have a tinge of that independent/stubborn streak from my youth but, at the end of the day, I am a BIG LOVER! I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my foster mom. She gives the best scratches and I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I shed A LOT! While living at the rescue, they took great care of me...too good, honestly. I have become fat and happy but the weight has worn down on these ol’ joints. I am on a diet, limited treats, and I am getting joint supplements every day. I am a generally lazy guy but I am amazing on a leash and love to go on walks. More consistent exercise will help with my weight loss. I still have plenty of pep in my step (especially when I‘m on the hunt for squirrels) so don’t let my age or size fool you. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! I will melt your heart when you look into my caramel eyes and sweet, chocolatey soul. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
So, as you can see I am a BIG BIG GUY(130#)!!! Like the German Rotties, I have a BIG old HEAD and a propensity to protect my people....... I need just the right home, no other dogs please. I was not socialized with other dogs while growing up and am a big boy and so introducing to other dogs is a challenge for the rescuers and therefore we are looking for a single dog home. I am a very typical rottie and was kept as a protector of the property. I LOVE my people and honestly would love to be a lap dog, lol, but I also need a couple or single who is a strong leader, who really understands my breed and who will assure that I stay safe and others do as well. Now, I have a sweet and loving side, and my friends love that about me ;) But look at my face, without my toothy grin, and you know they understand that I am a serious guy :) I love my peeps and am ready for just the right place. I can only be adopted in TX and HAVE to be met and introduced and spend time with me before the rescue will approve my adoption. So only the strong need apply!! You will get an AMAZING and DEDICATED and EXTREMELY LOYAL DOG! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)
