Has done well with another dog her size  Looking for a home without small dogs or cats Meet Violet , a very sweet and friendly girl with an easygoing nature that makes her a joy to be around. She loves cuddles and is happiest when she can relax close to her people and soak up affection. Violet also loves the water and playing in the dog pool. Violet already knows a few basic commands, including “sit” and “stay,” and she enjoys showing off her good manners. She is also does well on leash, making walks together a pleasant and peaceful experience. With her gentle personality and loving spirit, Violet is a wonderful companion ready to bring warmth and companionship to her future home. A generous member of our community has paid for Violet's adoption fee! The online adoption listing websites require that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. I’m Houdini, I love pleasing my owners whether you want to chill on the couch or go on long hikes, I’m just happy to be with youI love chewing on bones and playing with toys, a quick game of keep away will make my whole day!I am kennel trained and will happily wait for you to come home, I don’t bark in my kennel unless I really have to pee so you don’t have to worry about me upsetting the neighbors.i’m shy at first but once I get to know you all I want is your love and affection!I don’t like cats, small dogs, or other small animals and I will try to eat them.. my mom says this isn’t one of my ideal traits but I’m young so a bit of training might help me learn to be ok with those things in the future.Kids scare me and I panic, I need a family that understands that I need a home without kids around.If you’re looking for an energetic dog who’s happy to do whatever you want, and you don’t mind my less appealing qualities, then please apply to be my new owner and give me a furever home!

Adoption Process Guardianship Application available for download at http://tinyurl.com/MAPSFiles The Adoption process is designed to help best place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a prescreen review of an Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's web site, will be granted an adoption. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love !
