If you are looking for a gentle giant to snuggle with, I`m your guy. I`m looking for a comfy retirement home where I can laze around, nap on the couch, watch the birds.. the simple life, you know? I have only lived with adults and I`ve been very friendly with them! I also lived with another big dog - we got along well and liked to play rough. If there are any new dogs in my new home, I`d like to take my time meeting them, please. It would be great if I could be the only dog and get all the attention to myself, but I don`t mind sharing either. So... et tu? What do you think, are you ready to make some room in your life for all my one hundred-twenty-one pounds of love? Come meet me today! I can`t wait! Medical history: I am 13, and I am overall healthy. I`m slightly overweight and would benefit from a weight loss plan, especially because I have some arthritis in my joints. I also have some lipomas on my body, most of which are expected to be benign, but there is a larger one on my knee that could possibly be a sarcoma. Here`s what my friends from DCHS` vet team said: `We decided not to proceed with additional diagnostics at this time given his age, large breed status and overweight condition, arthritis and mobility issues, and limited surgical options for that mass, so are adopting out as is. Adopters can follow up with their veterinarian about the mass and proceed with diagnostics at their expense.` I`m a really good boy for exams, so I`m looking forward to charming my new vet with my sweet nature!Weight: 121 lbsAdoption fee: WAIVED

She may take some time to come out of her shell, but having another confident, friendly dog around can help her feel safe and show off her true personality. 🐶💕 Sapphire is a little clumsy and absolutely hilarious with those HUGE feet of hers! 🐾 She loves smacking things with her giant paws, and she hasn't quite figured out just how big she is. Because Sapphire is a big girl who isn't always aware of her size, a home without young children would be best for her. This sweet pup has two torn cruciate ligaments. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love !
