Story
If you are interested in ROXIE or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. In addition to being beautiful, ROXIE is an amazing dog. She is smart as a whip and driven by love. She is the most appreciative dog her foster family has ever had. She melted in her mom’s arms the first night she got there, looking at her with the sweetest eyes and just saying thank you. She always aims to please, which will definitely make training easier and more fun! ROXIE adores children and is fabulous with other dogs! She shares her foster home with many different resident dogs. She has been excellent with all of them and is happiest when with them. Therefore, she will only be able to go to a home that has at least one other canine member. She saves all her love for dogs and humans leaving none left for kitty cats. Her forever home will not have feline family members. ROXIE is both house and crate trained. She is a good car passenger and walks well on a leash. She can be timid at first, but she warms up quickly. ROXIE is a loyal companion who is happiest when she is near her foster family. Woof River requires applicants to have rottweiler or other large dog experience in order to be considered for adoption. If you are lucky enough to have sweet ROXIE take a piece of your heart into her paw, she will hold on to it forever! To see even more pictures of ROXIE, please copy and paste the following link into your browser: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/s0hj134fwixmg1chqqje1/h?rlkey=gus0t6smzxnibfedc21229jfs&dl=0 ROXIE is spayed, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations including 2 rounds of both the H3N2 and H3N8 canine influenza vaccinations. Her $540 adoption fee covers her interstate health certificate and the cost of transport to the midwest. For an adoption application on ROXIE click here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com. It typically takes us around 5 BUSINESS DAYS to process an application. We will reach out to you as soon as your application is processed. Thank you in advance for your patience. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding. Please LIKE Woof River on Facebook! Thank you for choosing rescue!!

Story
Mack the Rottweiler mix is one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet! He might be 90 pounds, but he's just a big, gentle giant. He is low to medium energy which is perfect for someone who works during the day or leads a more chill lifestyle. Mack likes pretty much everything, but rubber toys, food, naps, and walks top his list. He's also school aged child friendly too! The only thing Mack isn't thrilled about is other animals and therefore would be to be an only pet in his future home. He is so handsome and has a great personality to match. Take a chance on sweet Mack! You won't regret it. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about him on JR's Pups-N-Stuff's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/. Ask to meet Mack today! Adoption fee: $300All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Story
Check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on September 22nd and arrive on September 23rd, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 09/15/2023 Dog Name: Baby Sex: Female Estimated Breed Mix: Rottweiler/ German Shepherd Mix Approximate Age: 4 Years Approximate Weight: 50 lbs. Description: Baby is so sweet! She loves to play and is going to make a great family pet. She is great at cuddling and she is constantly smiling. She loves to play and listens well!  Adoption Fee: $450.00  We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. September 21, 2023, 2:22 pm
