This story is important to many Native American groups, especially the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), because it explains where the land came from—they call North America Turtle Island. It also teaches that animals and humans are connected and should help each other, that even small or weak beings like Muskrat can do great things, and that people should respect nature and live in balance with the Earth.Maang has sharpened her listening skills to hear the latest news on finding her potential forever family. She is a real snuggle bug. She was born in rescue on 3/7/2026 and is a Rottie mix. She is gentle and loving. Her only wish is to find her forever family. She knows they are out there. She sleeps through the night and working hard on house training.
