Meet Luther 🖤🐾 The kind soul with 3 legs Luther is a 2-year-old, 75-lb Rottweiler with a big heart, a loyal soul, and just three legs—don’t let that fool you though, because this guy is perfectly agile and keeps up like a champ. He’s living proof that tripods do not miss a beat. True to his Rottie roots, Luther is a devoted protector who bonds deeply with his people. He lives for snuggles, loves being close to his humans, and truly believes his favorite place is wherever you are—especially if your hand is available for pets (his absolute favorite thing in the world). Luther is a bone and Kong enthusiast, highly treat-motivated, and loves learning new tricks. Training with him is a joy because he’s eager, smart, and very motivated to please. He gets along well with other dogs and is, quite frankly, 100% a good boy. A few important notes for his forever home: • 🐱 No cats please—Luther thinks chasing them is a full-time job • 🐶 Dog-friendly overall • 🏠 He may resource guard his kennel at bedtime (when he is tucked inside) if another dog walks by, which is a common and manageable dog behavior (and easily avoided with simple routines) . Luther has zero health issues, is fully agile, and is up to date on all vaccinations. He’s strong, loving, goofy, loyal, and ready to be someone’s very best friend. One of his favorite things is simply laying outside, soaking up the fresh air and sunshine, perfectly content just being near his people. Rookie is highly trainable and eager to please. He already knows many commands, including sit, stay, wait, come, spin, and lay down, and truly enjoys learning and working with his humans. He has been a wonderful, loyal member of our family for nearly four years. As our family has grown and life has changed with young children, we’ve realized that this isn’t the ideal setup for him. Rookie would thrive in a home with older children or adults only, where he can receive the attention, consistency, and activity level he deserves. Rookie also loves car rides and has been an excellent travel companion—always happy to tag along and ready for the next adventure. He’s looking for a loving home where he can be a devoted best friend, outdoor buddy, and constant companion.
