Story
Hey, I'm Peralta! I'm a male 1-year-old Coonhound/Rottweiler mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, microchipped, and soon to be neutered. 3 words that describe me: Energetic, Playful, Cuddly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I’m basically the perfect combo of a “smort” detective and lovable goofball. I love getting attention, making people laugh, and being part of the squad. If you’re looking for a furry friend who’s equal parts energetic and cuddly, I’m your guy! My specialties include solving the Case of the Missing Tennis Ball, investigating squeaky toy disappearances, and going undercover as a lap dog whenever cuddles are available. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6 or 7/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it, a consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn! I should do well in a home: I should do well with children of all ages given proper supervision. I should do fine with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: Playing with toys like they’re evidence in a high-priority case and getting affection from my humans Things I need work on are: Housetraining and walking on leash Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: "Peralta was a great dog today! He has a good temperment in being able to play but can chill out if needed to be. He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war. He is willing to hold his toy while going on walks but can be forgetful when something smells interesting in which you can remind him to go get his toy. He did good on the car rides and does likes to stick his head out, but don't worry, he won't jump out of the car. Peralta would be a great family dog and/or hiking partner." "I think Peralta did great on his doggy day out. He never once barked, not even when he saw other dogs and they were barking. He was very snuggly and affectionate, he didn’t jump on me at all, and he stayed down on the couch and waited for me to give him the okay to come up with me. I think he would make a great pet to anyone." "He did great. A little jumpy when holding toys or ball, mouthy but gentle. Loves snuggles" Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Pepper is a recent shelter transfer, we will update her bio as we learn more about her! Pepper is a beautiful 3-year-old girl weighing about 65 pounds, and she's ready to find a family to call her own. After her previous owner could no longer care for her, Pepper has been winning over everyone she meets with her loving personality and sweet nature. This wonderful girl is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate. She enjoys daily walks and staying active, but she's equally content curling up for cuddles and soaking up attention from her favorite people. Whether you're looking for a walking partner, a couch companion, or both, Pepper is happy to fill the role.Pepper would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, plenty of love, and lots of quality time together. As she continues to settle in, we're learning more about her unique personality, but one thing is already clear—she forms strong bonds and loves being close to her people.Pepper is looking to be the only pet in her new home, with no other dogs or cats, so she can enjoy all the love and attention she deserves. In return, she'll reward you with endless loyalty, affection, and companionship. If you're searching for a devoted best friend who will join you on adventures and snuggle up beside you at the end of the day, Pepper may be the perfect match for your family. Come meet her—you just might fall in love. ðŸ\x90¾ðŸ’•I come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle me into your home.
