THis gorgeous russian blue mix is SO LOVING!! All she wants is pets and attention from her humans. She seems good with other kitties and friendly doggos after proper, slow introductions but would likely make a good only-kitty too, as long as her family can spend lots of time with her. She was found outside in a colony of feral cats, pregnant and scared. She was so happy to be rescued! She is a very enthusiastic eater and loves dry food more than wet (although it's possible we havent found her favorite variety of wet food yet!) More than anything, she just wants love.  ##2702609##

Winnie was adopted by my bleeding heart granddaughter. She went to get a dog and already had two male cats. They sort of pushed Winnie on her because she was only year old and scheduled for euthanasia. My granddaughter had no idea how to handle a special needs cat. The two males were constantly picking on her. She hid all the time. My granddaughter was living with me at the time so when she moved out I told her to leave Winnie here. The problem is that I have three dogs and two cats of my own. She is not socializing at all. She still will not let me touch her ... I can only go in and feed her an clean her litter. I know she has so much more life in her to live with the right person! PLEASE PLEASE help me give this baby a new life!!

If you have never had a pet before and thus do not have an established vet either in the area or in an area you previously lived in, we recommend adopting from your local Animal Services. Our adoption fee covers spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, monthly flea medication while in our rescue, any medications while in our rescue, an FIV/FeLV test, and the unconditional love of your new family member. My cat is 6 years old as of last April and weighs 16lbs. Even though it was never proven I have kepted him on a prescription urinary track diet. Sometimes I give him a little regular wet food but most always the urinary diet wet and dry. My problem is my small 13 year old dog who hates him and at the same time, she is afraid of him. She growls and snaps at him no matter what he does, even when he wants to play or sleep. He loves dogs but today he attacked my dog and between the two of them I have had it. Since the dog is old the cat is the one that has to be rehomed. Where we used to live, neighbors brought their dogs over to play with him. It is my dog that doesn’t like him. He has been strictly an indoor cat and needs more room to run around. Presently we live in a senior one bedroom apartment and I think he is bored. I am not sure if he likes children because he hasn’t been around them.
