Story
Catu is a beautiful, 6-year-old Russian Blue with striking green eyes and a shy personality. While he has a lot of love to give, Catu also comes with some behavioral challenges that require an experienced and patient owner. Catu is territorial and has shown signs of aggression with his older half-brother, particularly when overstimulated or when his space is invaded. He is not a fan of being picked up and prefers affection on his own terms. Catu will also urine mark when anxious or stressed, so a calm, quiet environment with minimal changes is ideal for him. He enjoys lounging in sunny spots, watching birds through the window, and playing with teaser toys. With time, patience, and the right environment, he could truly thrive. Catu would do best in a home without children or other pets. He needs someone who understands feline behavior and is willing to work with him on his terms. Serious inquiries only. This is not an easy rehoming – it’s a heartfelt decision made in his best interest.

Smokey-Russian Blue X (m) and Tabby-DSH Brown Tabby (f)- Bonded Pair ~ 1 1/2yr. (April 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application Smokey and Tabby were taken in, off the streets, by a small town Humane Society. They have been living in foster care and are ready for a new home together. The foster home has other cats, dogs and 3 older children/teens, so they've had a pretty normal family life experience. They'll need a little time to adjust to a new home, but bonded well with the foster family and will be wonderful companions in a new home, too. The adoption fee is $150 each to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Griffin is a very handsome young male that was at risk in an already full facility. He has gorgeous blue fur but is also very affectionate. He's very approachable and easy going. Please come and meet him at Petco and fall in love. Can you open your heart to this gentle lover? * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate), treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be slightly more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly. April 11, 2025, 8:51 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Gregory. I’m an 11 yr old silly boy who loves attention, and am very dog-like, in that I follow my favorite people around everywhere they go (like a dog)! I previously lived outdoors (hence the eartip), as a community cat, but my caregiver moved away. A neighbor took me in for 6 weeks and I quickly settled into indoor life, and all of its perks. Even though I’m an older boy, I love to play with kickers and wand toys, as well as exploring new cardboard boxes (rolling around and then napping in them). My other favorite past times include: being lazy watching birds out the window, getting zoomies on occasion and running around the house, eating all the wet food I can get, and napping beside my favorite people (who knew beds were so comfy!!!). I don’t mind being handled, picked up or held. I purr, makes biscuits and rub on people, to ask for attention. Despite living outside for all those years, I use the litterbox like a champ! And I scratch on appropriate cardboard scratchers.   My ideal home would be with cat savvy adults/kids, as I may slap when I want attention (or if you stop petting me too soon.). I lived with other cats, and got along ok with the females, but, not the males (as I tend to be dominant after living outside for so many years). I’ve been around several dogs of varying sizes (from 10 to 90 pounds), and could live with calmer ones (but might not like rambunctious prey-driven dogs). While outdoors, I loved children, and would seek them out for pets and even being held. Since moving indoors, I was around one child (5 years old) and enjoyed playing with them with toys that kept little hands farther away. They were quite fun to hang out with, as long as they respected my independence. I’m looking forward to retiring as an indoor only kitty, and getting all the love I deserve!   Adoption fee: $100, includes all shots, sterilized, dewormed, deflea, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
