They do require some special care. FIV can be transmitted to other cats, usually through a bite. Therefore, FIV positive cats need to be kept indoors to avoid infecting other neighborhood cats. They can live happily with other cats that are not positve for FIV as long as they get along.In order for a FIV cat to live a long and healthy life, it is important to keep the cat`s immune system strong, with a healthy diet and a stress-free environment. Regular vet checkups are recommended.FIV positive cats can have a difficult time finding homes, even though in all respects they are normal, loving cats. Mister Pets, age 3.5 years, though not married to his name, earned it because he LOVES ALL THE PETS. I’ve cared for him and his neighborhood family for 5 years. He was one of four siblings; only two remain due to harsh outside conditions. We decided to bring him inside and search for his furEVER home to give him the best chance of a great life! Mister Pets seems okay with dogs—neighbors stopped on daily walks to pet him, and he never ran off or hissed. He’s chatty, loves the pet tree, and is well behaved. He likely needs a companion, since he’s never been alone. His meals are pate, with dry kibble available for snacking day and evening. His ear is tipped from the TNR I did for the whole family. For his safety and to prevent attempting to return to the neighborhood, this sweetheart should stay an indoor-only cat for life. He settles quickly, enjoys gentle attention, making him a sweet fit for homes.

This is Levi! He is around 4 years old. Really sweet guy. Loves cuddling under the blankets with you. A curious fellow that sometimes may seem like he is staring into your soul and maybe judging? Maybe not. But he will stare. But he’s super friendly and laid back. Never been aggressive. Wish we could keep him but when my partner and I moved in together, my cats just don’t get along with him. I guess he’s just at the bottom of the pecking order and no matter how much we’ve tried to work with them to all get along, they just don’t seem to ease up on him. It sucks because he has never had these issues before with my partners other cats or even their dog. Would be playful with them and all of that. So I’m guessing it’s just my cats being the issue. Barn cat I rescued, my boyfriend is very allergic and no amount of air purifiers, house cleaning, or meds are helping his asthma. It breaks my heart to let him go. He loves to cuddle, free feeds kibble, uses a robot litter box that you can have! He hates baths but gets over it. He hates car rides but I have a carrier you can take as well. He plays and loves his dog brother who thankfully does not make my boyfriend react.
