Story
Nyx is a sweet 2 year old kitty who has grown up around 3 children. I am going through a divorce and the landlord will not allow her. She ran away one time when she was 1 and was injured and tail was broken. She has since healed but has a little bit of a stubby tail. She is litter trained, eats dry cat food twice a day. She keeps to herself but bakes biscuits at night in bed before night. Up to date on shots and spayed. No microchip. Does tolerate dogs both big and small.

Story
Meet Blue Cinder, an 8-month-old male Russian Blue.Blue was recently surrendered to the adoption center. He has only ever lived in one home and was a bottle fed kitten. Blue was rescued from a fire in the neighborhood along with his siblings. Blue is described as a very loving, friendly and outgoing couch potato. He is litter box trained but can be territorial. This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Adopt Don't Shop.

Story
Sebastian was born around May of 2017 so he is about 7 years old. He was found outside of a restaurant in an area where pets are dumped. He is also extremely sweet, but very timid. We recently tested him out with a foster though, and he does calm down in a new environment, he just needs time to do so. He absolutely loves to snuggle, but needs to be pushed a bit out of his comfort zone at first. Once he knows the space and trusts you though, he is a little love bug. We did think he followed Fifi’s lead alone, but having the time apart, he did better than we expected. This is why we are open for them to go together or apart. He needs a calm household where he can flourish. He does have gray hair, but he is NOT hypoallergenic. He does not do well with children. He does ok with dogs if they are small and very calm. He is scared of most other cats. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his rabies vaccine, and has had his other vaccinations, but being an indoor cat without exposure to others, he does not get any other vaccines currently. His adoption fee is $300.

Story
MEET MIKA AND NIKO! These two stunning siblings found themselves in quite a pickle when Niko, the handsome black panther with dark amber eyes, decided it would be really fun to 'hunt' the family St Bernard, even though the dog had been in the family since Niko was a little kitten. Well, it didn't take very long before his sister Mika, the gorgeous Russian Blue cross with copper eyes, decided to join in the fun. They must have had their reasons, but seriously, a St Bernard? What were you two thinking?! This was obviously a nerve-wracking situation for their owners, who were trying to keep the dog and cats apart. Things really came to head when a long-planned trip was just days away. Though there would be a pet sitter, they would only be there briefly each day, so their owners were justifiably concerned that they might return to find their home littered with feline body parts. Seeing no other options, Mika and Niko were brought to our shelter. About 2 years old, Mika and Niko have been spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated and are perfect kitties with their litter box. They get along with other cats, but obviously canine companions would not be a good idea in their new home. Mika and Niko are absolutely wonderful with humans of all sizes and come running to greet us. They would love a home where they get lots of quality time with their special people. Wednesdays, when our 6 and 8 year-old kitty cuddlers come to play with them, is their most favorite day! Obviously, loosing their home, though self-inflicted, has been very distressing for them, but as soon as they find their forever home they'll be able to relax and be happy again. A bonded pair, especially after everything they've been through, they need to be adopted together. An adoption fee of just $100 will make them yours, all yours! To meet them, please fill out an adoption application on our website using this link: https://pawsitiveoutreach.wixsite.com/posna/adoption-application, or call Gina at (480) 779-9208. Don't make them wait too long, they can't wait to go home... with YOU!
