Always up for an adventure! Hurry is a swift and an agile runner and happiest running around outside. Hurry, absolutely loves spending time outdoors - with plenty of exercise each day - he is content to come indoors and relax. While he has been with us our Dog Trainer has taught him his basic commands and worked on his recall. Our Trainer looks forward to working with the successful adopters to ensure a successful transition, potential adopters should expect to attend 6 (complimentary) training classes with his Trainer. ABOUT HURRY: - He is a 45 lb, mid-sized Saluki Labrador Mix, approximately 9 years old. - A world traveller, Hurry was born in the UAE and travelled to Canada with his family. Unfortunately his family could no longer keep him and he was surrendered to our shelter. - Gets along with most dogs (if his potential adopter already has a dog, we will arrange for a meet & greet under the supervision of our Trainer) - Hurry is neutered, house-trained, microchipped and has his core vaccinations HURRY’S IDEAL HOME: - Live in a home with a yard with a high fence that is not climbable/jumpable - Rural area preferred - Previous dog experience required - A home with no children or other pets, and family willing to give him time and space to settle into his new home and routine If you have any questions about Hurry contact his Adoption Coordinator at: jenc.ehs@gmail.com

Story
Meet Norabel — Your Gentle, Devoted Companion Female | ~3 years old | Shepherd/Collie/Saluki mix | 44 lbs Norabel is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. With her soft eyes and calm spirit, she brings a sense of peace to every room she’s in. This sweet girl is healthy, spayed, and fully up to date on her vaccinations—ready to begin her next chapter. In her foster home, Norabel has been a dream. She is fully house trained and has not had a single accident since arriving. She walks beautifully on a leash, respects her home environment, and has no interest in chewing things she shouldn’t. She gets along well with other dogs and is wonderfully polite with the resident cats, choosing to give them space rather than fuss. What truly sets Norabel apart is her gentle heart. She is patient, loving, and deeply appreciative of kindness. While initially a bit reserved, once she feels safe, her quiet affection shines through in the sweetest ways. She will thrive in a calm, reassuring home with people who will give her the love and time she needs to fully blossom. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a tender soul, Norabel may be the perfect addition to your family. 📩 Interested in learning more or exploring our foster-to-adopt program? Story
Meet puppy Mae! Mae is just 10 months old and full of life! She’s a playful, high-energy, super smart puppy who’s always ready to learn something new. In her short time in foster care, she’s already picked up a few commands and is doing really well on her leash walks. She’s got the cutest bouncy trot that compliments her sleek, beautiful looks. Mae is friendly and confident with everyone she meets. She’d do best as a solo dog or with other confident dogs her size or bigger. She does have a strong prey drive, so a home with small dogs or cats wouldn’t be the right fit. A fenced yard is a must for this girl—she has lots of energy and needs space to run, play, and burn it off. “Mae loves her toys but can be a bit protective of them. Mae is being mentored to play appropriately. Non squeaky toys and no tug play would serve Mae well. Like any young pup, she has a few little quirks, but with consistency and proper training, she’ll continue to improve. She does have some crate frustration, so a home where someone is around a lot (like working from home) would really help her succeed. No apartments or condos for Mae, as she can be vocal in her crate for a bit.
