Boba is a rescue from China. She's a very sweet affectionate girl. She walks well on leash, very food motivated and loves to eat, she does fine in car rides as well. She doesn't bark much when she sees other dogs on walks like other samoyeds do. She plays well with other dogs. SF Bay Area adoption only.

Meet HIROMI HIROMI was turned into the shelter as a found dog. No one ever came for her. Despite being failed by her former person, this sweetheart remains devoted and loving. After Hiromi’s arrival she was initially timid and lacked confidence. She can still be somewhat apprehensive but she has opened up and trusted us enough to let her true colors shine! She is silly, sensitive, refreshingly affectionate, playful and a free spirit. Her absolute favorite past time is to be showered with love and give it in return. Her gentle, resilient nature is inspiring but not surprising. Hiromi is very communicative by expressing a multitude of emotions with her eyes. Her body language is inviting and she understands how to use it to subtly let you know what’s on her mind. She is also an Akita so stubbornness is part of her DNA! Her ideal adopter should have a calm home environment and be able to provide consistency and a daily routine, where she can continue to expand her horizons. Hiromi gets excited for her daily walks and is a great traveler! She seems non-reactive to other dogs and might do well with a mellow male dog. She is approx 4 yrs old and weighs 57 lbs. She is also crate and house trained. She is ready to pledge her love and devotion! Are you?! What kind of person drops off their beloved family member at a boarding facility, says they’ll be back in two days and is never seen or heard from again? After multiple attempts, the staff finally reached the owners. Their response was they were not coming back for him. Imagine you are Ponyo, waiting day after day, and one day becomes two, then two days becomes a week and then a month. At what point do dogs give up hope? Akitas are known for their fierce loyalty and devotion. Sadly, in this instance his loyalty was rewarded with betrayal. Thankfully, Ponyo is resilient and his joy of freedom overshadowed his despair. He’s 4yrs old and is a happy, fun-loving boy. He is best as an only dog and requires an experienced Akita owner. Ponyo is settling in and is getting plenty of attention, interaction and enrichment. Meet TOBI We don't know much about Tobi's past, but his future is very bright. He is a big boy with a heart the size to match. He is a gentle giant with a gregarious, carefree attitude and is eager to learn and experience the world. He is game for adventure and deserves to have that special someone to accompany him in life. Tobi is playful and has a welcoming aura about him. He also has an unabashed, confident side to him. He's just not sure how he ended up here, and we're making sure he never has to wonder that ever again. He is best as an only dog and someone with previous Akita experience is best. Tobi is approximately 5 yrs old, and due to his size should be on a good quality joint supplement. He's only been with us a short time, so will need to gain a few pounds to look his best, but he's already on his way to showing us his beautiful soul.
