Meet This Handsome Akita Pup! This 11-month-old male Akita came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own—his previous owner simply had too many Akitas. And trust us, this boy is an absolute gem. He is very friendly, loves people, and is always excited to explore new things. True to his breed, he adores the cold and snow and would thrive with an active family who enjoys getting outside. He’s still got puppy manners and puppy energy, so he’ll need continued training, structure, and outlets to keep both his body and brain busy. ? Playful ? Curious ? Social and people-loving ? Full of young-dog energy If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have the time, patience, and dedication to train and exercise a young Akita, this boy could be your perfect match. Do you have the time to help him grow into the amazing adult dog he’s meant to be? If you are interested in meeting Trevor, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application are done in person at the shelter. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100. Watch for adoption specials!!
