Story
Hi… I’m Daniel 🤍 I almost didn’t get the chance to meet you. There was a time when my story was about to end, but somehow, at the very last moment, I was given another chance. And ever since then, I’ve been waiting… hoping my real family would find me. Maybe that’s you. I have a calm and gentle heart. Even when I meet someone for the first time, I don’t feel scared—I walk up with quiet curiosity, hoping for a kind touch. I really love people. Being near you makes me feel safe and happy. I get along well with other dogs too. I’m not the type to bark a lot or get easily startled. Sometimes, after playing outside, I just lie down and fall asleep peacefully. I like those quiet, comfortable moments… especially if you’re nearby. If you look at me, you might notice my soft white fur and what people call the “Samoyed smile.” It looks like I’m always smiling—and maybe I am, especially when I’m with someone I love. I’ve been learning new things like “sit,” and I try really hard because I want to understand you better. I think I’m doing pretty well! My walks are nice and easy too—I like walking together, side by side. There are still a few things I’m working on. I’m practicing outdoor potty training, and when I’m in a completely new place, I might need a little time before I come to you on my own. But if you’re patient with me, I promise I’ll open my heart more and more. I already have a lot of love inside me. I just need a family to give it to. If you choose me, I won’t just be your dog— I’ll be your quiet companion, your soft place to rest, your reason to smile on ordinary days. I’ve waited long enough. Now I just want a home… and someone to call my family. Will you be my forever? 🤍

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster home Samuel is a 2-year 8-month-old male Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 18.7 kg. At just six months old, Samuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with his sibling, Yuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and he is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining his trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with his forever family. Samuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to his traumatic past, he tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When he first arrived at our training center, he was very shy, but after a few days, he gradually opened up and revealed his naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because he does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until he fully bonds with his new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Samuel has an independent streak. However, he also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once he builds trust, he expresses deep affection. Samuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with his sibling, Yuel. Since they have spent so much time together, he may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. He currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with his canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once he settles in, he should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking him on walks only after he has bonded with his new family. Due to his Jindo mix heritage, he has a strong homing instinct. If he is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, he may become confused and instinctively try to find his way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after he fully recognizes his adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Samuel still carries emotional scars from his traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for his trust, Samuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Imagine welcoming Milo🩵, a stunning 4-year-old Samoyed/husky, into your life!🤩 This loving and loyal companion thrives on one-on-one attention and training, and he's perfectly suited for an active partner who enjoys running, exploring, and spending quality time together. Yet, Milo also cherishes lazy days and snuggling with his favorite person. With a foundation in basic commands like sit, heel, down, stop, pull, no pulling, and come, Milo excels when working alongside his person😻. Due to reactivity to other dogs on walks, Milo flourishes in spacious environments with large yards or quieter settings where he can feel secure and relaxed. He needs a seasoned owner who understands reactive dogs and can offer structure, love, and guidance. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special boy, submit your application today!🙏🐾 Currently being cared in BC, Canada, Milo can be transported to his forever home🏡 in the northern states like Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, or elsewhere within the continental United States where a loving family eagerly awaits.

Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Harper from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 10 month old female Samoyed  mix.  I weigh approximately 28 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,695 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
Hi… I’m Duri 🤍 Before I met kind people, I spent a long time on my own… without care, without warmth. I just endured each day the best I could. But things have changed now. I’ve been given a chance to start over— and I’m waiting for a family to share that new beginning with. Maybe… that could be you. People say I look strong and handsome. My thick fur, my clear eyes… sometimes I remind them of a brown husky. But what I really want you to see isn’t just how I look— It’s who I am. I like people. I really do. I’ll come up to you first, gently, hoping to connect. I enjoy being close, sharing quiet moments, feeling like I belong. I also get along well with other dogs. Being around friends feels natural to me, and I’m comfortable sharing space and energy with them. Inside me, I carry something special— the calm loyalty of an Akita, and the intelligence and quick learning of a Jindo. That means when I bond with you… it won’t be shallow. It will be deep. Steady. Unbreakable. But I’m still learning. Living in a home is new to me. Things like potty training, daily routines, and how to behave indoors—these are things you’ll need to teach me, step by step. Because I’m a strong and active dog, I’ll also need guidance on walks and basic manners. I want to do well—I just need someone to show me how. In the beginning, I might seem a little unsure. A new place, a new life… it can feel overwhelming. But if you stay patient, consistent, and kind with me, I will find my balance. I’m not a difficult dog— but I am a dog who needs understanding. Someone who won’t just “have” me, but will truly live with me. Teach me. Connect with me. If you can do that… I promise you something rare. A bond built on trust. A loyalty that doesn’t fade. A companion who stands by you, no matter what. I’ve already come so far from where I started. Now I just need a place to finally belong. No more loneliness. Just warmth… and you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

Story
Hi, I’m Rian 💛 I’m a 5-year-old boy, a Malamute–Husky mix, and I weigh about 23kg. I know… I look big and strong, maybe even a little cool. But if you get to know me, you’ll see—I’m actually just a big softie. I really, really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I might come right up to you like, “Hi… can we be friends?” I love being close to my person. Spending time together, making eye contact, sharing quiet moments… that’s what makes me feel safe and happy. Once I open my heart, I become very affectionate. I’ll want to stay near you, lean into you, and just be by your side as much as I can. I get along well with other dogs too! I have a gentle nature and enjoy playing, whether it’s with toys or with friends. I’m a bright, cheerful boy who just enjoys life and companionship. I was rescued from a place where my time was almost over… but I didn’t lose my trust in people. I still believe in love, and I’m still reaching out for it. I’m also a pretty quick learner! If you teach me with patience and consistency, I’ll do my best to understand and follow along. Because of my Malamute and Husky side, I do have lots of energy. I’ll need regular walks, exercise, and time to really let that energy out. A quick walk won’t always be enough—I’d love a family who enjoys being active with me. I can also have a little independent streak (maybe just a tiny bit stubborn sometimes… 😊), so I’ll need someone who can guide me with calm, steady leadership. Living in a home might be new for me, so I’ll need to learn things like house routines and potty habits from the beginning. But if you’re patient with me, I know I can become an amazing companion. I’m already ready to love someone with my whole heart. All I need now… is someone who will accept me, guide me, and stay with me for life. Will you be my person? 💛
