You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Please contact Sally (Ohbassetrescue@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.Miss Percy Sue Pickles came to OBHR under the name Persimmon but we have since changed that to something more fun and fitting!  Percy came to OBHR a HOT MESS!! She had no hair on her chest, bottom, hoo hoo, back legs and very sparse on her back. Her eyes were cloudy and goopy. She was obviously used to crank out puppies over the years and probably was dumped. Thank goodness she was picked up by a good hearted person who took her to the shelter who then contacted us. Percy Sue Pickles' foster family has been taking fantastic care of her and a lot of her hair is coming back in! She is still pretty bald on the booty and legs, but things are filling in! She has some new eye meds and they are also clearing up. We are not sure she can see 100% but thank goodness she has that hound dog nose! Percy is guessed to be a bea-bull...beagle bulldog and about 8 years old. She is a sweet girl who would love a family of her own. She is spayed, chipped and up to date on all shots, but it still continuing with her meds for her eyes and skin. She is a little gal at 36 pounds of spunk!   She is good with other dogs, chickens, ducks, lizards.....doing fantastic in her foster home! She is a spunky little girl who may take a few days to warm up to you but she will eventually pay you back with love over and over!  She is available for adoption now if she can go to a home close enough to our Columbus vet so they can continue to check her progress for a few more weeks.  If you are interested in Percy Sue Pickles, please fill out the online application at ohiobassetrescue.com. Spot is a 2 and a half year old beagle basset mix hoping Santa brings him a new home for the holidays! He is about 26 pounds and up to date on shots and neutered. Spot is your typical beagle basset who is high energy and has a tendency to grab his own treats off the counters! He is house trained and crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He was relinquished to OBHR because he was one of 4 high energy dogs in the house and it was too much to handle. Basically because he is a hound dog! So if you are familiar with hounds he will fit right into your family! He will need a home with a fenced in yard and someone who can keep him active and exercised! He loves to play with his toys and snuggle, go for hikes and loves ice cubes and baby carrots! Her former owner unfortunately had a major medical issue and the family had to find her a new home because they had a lot on their plate taking care of their loved one. Olive, 6.5 yrs old,  is a typical basset in many ways except one…she is small for a basset weighing in at only 39 pounds! She is house trained, knows how to use a dog door, and is good with other dogs, cats and kids! Her only downfall is she can be a bit of a basshole at times when she is say on the couch and another dog walks by. She won’t attack but will give them some grumbles, her foster brother however just give her a look like “whatever” and wave a paw in the air and walk away! So she is ok in public with other dogs and will do fine in a home with laid back well adjusted dogs. Olive will require a home with a fence and she is up to date, spayed and chipped. Olive is currently being fostered midway between Toledo and Detroit. Her adoption fee is $300. We adopt to Ohio and bordering states only.
