She also recovered from parvovirus!! Hesitates a little when she sees overly energetic dogs but wags tail and greets them soon. * Separation Anxiety : Whines a little at first but calms down quickly and waits patiently. * Potty Training : works well on pads! Usually goes walking for outdoor potty. * Has trainings on walks and is learning how to walk in step with a walker. * Woofs at strange noises but stops quickly. Story
Location: Korea Introducing the Enchanting Pinocchio: A Tale of Resilience and Love! Once upon a time, in the heart of the Korean City Shelter, a magical tale began. Amidst a litter of ten siblings, there was a charming and affectionate boy named Chups, whom we now fondly call Pinocchio. His journey started with a touch of hardship, as he and his siblings were rescued without their mother as mere babies. One by one, his siblings found their forever homes, leaving Pinocchio as the last chapter of this fairy tale waiting to unfold. Pinocchio possesses a unique charm – his lower jaw, shorter than his top jaw, a congenital trait that adds to his enchanting character. As with any fairy tale hero, he comes with his own special needs. Gentle care is required when it comes to treats and bones, but oh, the joy he brings when taking those carefully chosen bites! His jaw gives him a distinctive touch, making picking up treats a whimsical dance, adding a pinch of magic to his daily routine. Approaching the world with cautious curiosity, Pinocchio may seem shy at first, but give him a moment, and you'll unveil a heart full of sociable warmth. He thrives with patience and time, adapting seamlessly to new environments and faces. Loud movements and sounds might stir his apprehension, yet he rarely lets out a bark – his voice is reserved for expressing his feelings of discontent or fear. When it comes to adventures, Pinocchio is an eager participant. His walks are strolls through wonder, his recall impeccable. The chill in the air makes him long for the warmth of a loving embrace, especially after long walks on frosty days – a hero deserving of pampering, indeed! He's even enrolled in the prestigious school of doggy daycare, where he mingles with other pups, capturing hearts with his endearing nature. While water may not be his favorite element, Pinocchio has mastered the art of bath time. He braves the bubbles with a heart full of courage, just like the heroes of old. Paw-wiping, nail clipping, and teeth brushing are his allies, rendering him ever-ready for royal gatherings or impromptu adventures. In the silence of the night, Pinocchio rests peacefully in his crate, mastering commands like Sit, Down, Paw, Wait, and House. His foster family's love shines through, guiding him towards his happily ever after. As a character worth following, you can catch glimpses of his enchanted life on his Foster Instagram, @pongxdang. And so, the tale of Pinocchio, the brave and endearing pup, unfolds. A story of resilience, love, and finding one's place in a world filled with wonders and challenges. If you seek to complete this magical tale, to add the missing piece to Pinocchio's journey, open your heart and your home to him. Your love will undoubtedly transform this enchanting pup's story into a fairy tale beyond compare. ##1803756##

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)            8-year-old 30lbs Roxy, a Siba / Bali Dog mix was found in the middle of a village road in Bali, Indonesia. She was frantic. Her rescuers could smell rotting flesh and see the telltale marks of a string embedded deep in her neck. It's a common occurrence in Bali where small dogs have a string placed around their neck and they aren't touched again so it is never removed. As they grow the string becomes painfully tight around their neck causing terrible wounds. Roxy would have suffered like that for many years. Roxy was caught and taken to the vet where it was revealed she had just given birth. Her rescuers returned to the 'home' she had been living in - her living conditions were terrible. They discovered her babies had been thrown into the jungle just after their birth. The same had happened to all her other litters. It was too late to save her babies, but it wasn't too late to save Roxy. After a long stint in the vet, Roxy's physical wounds healed in her loving foster home with her foster Mama Roxy's emotional wounds healed too. Roxy is approximately 8 years old, sterilized and vaccinated and she's looking for her forever cuddle person. Roxy is now extremely sassy. She's making up for all that lost time without cuddles and just loves attention. She knows what she likes (walks, bum scratchies, her spot on the couch, cheese, cuddles, sunbathing and Netflix and chill) and she knows what she doesn’t like (being ignored and raw meat). Roxy doesn’t let any of her horrid past stop her special skill - showing everyone her very beautiful smile. She’s good with other dogs and isn't interested in chasing cats.       All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
