Our once shy puppy girl Roxie has grown into a playful canine socialite!! Sharing adventures and new experiences with fellow dogs has enabled her to unleash her inner puppy!! Roxie can play all day with her dog pals.. trail blaze in a pack on long leashes.. nose to the ground and her curly little tail high and waggy! Once completely shut down and cowering in corners, "foxy Roxie" now chases balls.. and often returns them except in the event she gets side tracked by the sight of a whirring ball tossed for another dog .. and off she goes to join the chase! One of her favorite games involves the hose.. on any setting! Roxie bites and snaps the out pouring water no matter what setting its on jet, shower or mist! She also kinda plays jump rope and repeatedly runs into the water spray full on.. getting drenched and loving's every moment!! Roxie has a number of unique and highly entertaining moves in her play style .. she actually bounces.. kangaroo style.. also literally leaps over her mates .. even those quite a bit taller than she is.. Roxie like a lot of dogs is really into rolling and somehow manages to roll in tandem with her pals .. almost as if merged into one dog! She's got great play etiquette.. smoothly moves from running chase games to prone mouth wrestling.. to sharing a drink at the water bucket and then lounging comfortably for a rest before it all starts again! Sweet and kind AMBER is a 10 month old Shiba & Lab mix and weighs 25 pounds so she'll be a medium sized pup (her pics make her look bigger than she is). She's very very friendly and loves every person and dog she meets. She's a smarty pants who is house-trained and has learned to walk great on a leash. Her super power is that she loves to play with other dogs but then likes to chill out and relax. She very affectionate, loves belly rubs, car rides, adventures or watching TV with you. Ari came to us as an owner surrender in July 2023, due to reactivity in his home. He is a 2 year old Shiba Inu that did not get the proper training and structure to truly thrive in his previous home (the only home he has ever known). We have seen an improvement since he arrived. He allows the people here to walk him and actually is very playful with toys. However, he is still weary of being pet if he doesn't know you. Ari needs a home that will continue training, and get him accustomed to new surroundings, and people. Ari takes some time to trust you (can you blame him?), so multiple meet and greets are required (he IS WORTH IT!!). His fosters reports how sweet, quiet and easy he is! We took him to get groomed and they agreed! WE just love him. He loves to lay by you as well. Must have experience with this breed or similar dogs. We do not adopt Shibas to people with young kids. They are sometimes complex and need training. He is just amazing!
