If you remember, when I got here I was a little scared, because this was all new to me, but boy oh boy, not anymore! My true personality has come out, (thanks foster daddy and mommy 💗) and I’m even more adorable if you can believe it! Are you ready for fun, love and adventure? If you are, you just have to meet me. I was an owner surrender a couple of months ago, and boy did I have a lot of making up to do. Foster Mom calls me “Dixie the Explorer” Ha! While in the backyard, I hunt lizards, squirrels, bunnies and anything else that enters the backyard. Once I have successfully rid the back yard of uninvited visitors, I come into the house to chew a bone or play with a toy. When evening hits, I am looking for an enjoyable dinner, a walk around the neighborhood (I love “walkies” and am good on a leash) to socialize with the neighborhood older children and cuddles on the couch. Foster Mom has other pups in the house like me, and I get along with them, so if you have a friend for me to play with it’s ok, or I could be your one and only to spoil, as that works for me too! 🤗 I really need a home that has a secure fenced in yard so I can continue my quest for the creatures in the yard! I’m fully vetted and prefer a quieter adult only home where my human is home more often than not, maybe a retiree or someone who works from home would be “pawsome”. I’m also going to need regular grooming to keep me looking pretty, so please keep that in mind with your budget. Typically a groom will run about $60.00 and up. If you have a similar lifestyle, ( minus the hunt for critters 🤣) please fill out an adoption application www.viprescue.org so we can meet, k? 11-24-25 - PUPDATE We’d like you to read our sweet Dixie’s update. As she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her new surroundings in her foster home, her true personality is coming out and she is absolutely adorable! She has become an expert Lizard chaser as she can find them anywhere. She perks up as soon as she spies one and the chase is on or even hide and seek is fun to. We discovered Dixie’s playful drive at the Dogtoberfest held last weekend in Dunedin. Our tent location was facing the Lure course (flag on a remote control line and the dogs are stimulated chasing it) Yes Dixie most certainly had her turn and boy did she love it. She completed one entire circuit around the course. You go girl! Ha! As you can see, our darling lizard chasing lure coursing girl most certainly will enjoy an active household, and maybe one that will get her involved in some type of agility? We bet she’d love it! Dixie is still in search of her “Fur"ever home. If you are ready to welcome this sweet active girl into your heart and home, please visit our website VIPRescue.org to review her complete bio, and if you think you’d be the perfect fit for her, please fill out an adoption application as we’re sure Dixie would love to be settled in her new home for the Holidays! 11-13-25 Well hello there! I’m Dixie, a 7 year old 16lb Pommy mix girl! My human became ill and could no longer take care of me, and surrendered me to VIP Rescue. As soon as I got here, I went straight to the “dogtor” for a complete check up as I had never been to a place like that before. Thank goodness all is well and I’m ready to find my new human to share my life with! My ideal new place would a quieter, active adult home, no kids please, with someone who is home most of the time, either a retiree or maybe an adult who works from home, with a secure fenced yard. Foster Mom has other littles in the house, I like them, but I could also be your one and only and you can spoil me rotten. I get all kinds of excited when I hear Mom gathering the leashes for a walk, I really like that, cuz I get to do all the “sniffies” in the neighborhood and boy, do I like those! I’m working on “housebreaking” training, (whatever 🙃 lol) and am currently tinkle pad trained. I’m learning to go outside when we go on those awesome walks with foster Mom. Since I’m so cute and fluffy, keep in mind that I will need regular grooming appointments which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, so please prepare that in your budget cuz that’s really important for me to have done. I’m spayed, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, am microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention as well. If you’re interested in me or in both me and my friend Daisy, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon! VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 12-16 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet’s estimated lifespan. Available for adoption VIPRescue.org Dog Name: Marley / Holiday Dob: 4-6-2021 Breed: Yorkie/Pomeranian Mix - we think he looks like a NorwichTerrier Weight: 9 lbs Gender: Male House Trained: yes, as long as he is let out often Location: Holiday FL Good with other dogs: Yes Good with kids: Yes, 12+ Color: Brown ******Please make sure to read the entire bio of the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pet's needs. PLEASE NOTE: LOOK OVER YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE HITTING SUBMIT, AS INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CLOSED. Who is ready?? Marley is ready!!! Are you ready for Marley?? This beautiful little stud muffin is looking for a furever home. He is thought to be around 5 years old and weighs almost 9 pounds. We were told he is a Yorkie / Pomeranian mix. He’s not a hypoallergenic dog, he does shed and will also need to be groomed about every 6 - 8 weeks so please keep that in mind with your budget! He was surrendered to us from a back yard breeder, and his stud days are now over and he is looking forward to the good life of rest, relaxation and to learn what being a family dog is all about. ❤️🐾 Marley can be a bit shy at first meet, but when he knows he is safe he will seek attention. He hasn’t met a human that he doesn’t like and a lap that he doesn’t accept. He’s learning leash walking and working on house manners. He is a quick study and learning new things every day with the foster dogs in his foster home. He’s a little nervous around other dogs, but very curious, so a slow introduction will be needed if you have other pets in your home. We fell he would do best as your one and only. A few more things we have learned about Marley is he loves to sleep in the human bed as well as make himself comfortable on the human couch for naps and activity surveillance. He does not appear to know what dogs beds are for and he watches the other dogs in the foster home with curiosity when they play with toys, but so far has not played with the dogs or the toys. The ideal home would be a quiet adult home with humans that are home more often than not. If you have a dog at home, similar size and age, an adult to senior calm dog would be best, he would prefer to be your one and only. Loud noises and fast moves by human or another dog startle him. If you have children at home, they should be at least 12+ and understand the needs of Marley. An adult only home will be given preference. Marley has been brought current with his vaccinations, neutered, Yeah! microchipped and received a much needed dental and is also on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. When considering adoption, please keep in mind that he will need to be groomed, the estimated costs are $60 to $100 per groom every 6-8 weeks Do you have an open lap? Do you have the patience for him to adjust to new surroundings? Do you think this is the Pup for you? If so, please visit our website viprescue.org to submit an application. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and numbers for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet's estimated lifespan.
