Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This adorable little boy was picked up as a stray in Kentucky, so we know absolutely nothing about his past.  But we've learned a lot about him while he has been in our care!    He is very affectionate and loves to be with his human(s) at all times.    He's about 8 years old, and weighs 23#.   We think he prefers to be the only dog in the home.  Initially we thought he would probably enjoy having a canine friend to play with (one who will likely allow him to be alpha), but now we think he would prefer to be an 'only child'.   He's curious about cats, but hasn't bothered the cats in his foster home. Auggie does great on a leash, he's good in the car, house trained and will let you know when he has to go outside and potty.  He easily uses doggie stairs to get up into bed, and he's a great couch companion.  Like many Eskies, he is vocal and slightly demanding at times when he wants something.   He loves his food, and even loves frozen green beans as a treat!  He's currently on a prescription canned food to keep crystals from forming in his urine, which he loves.  It's readily available at Chewy and in pet stores.    (he has a written script for the food, which we will give to adopter).  He does best on soft and canned foods, due to the fact that he had severe periodontal disease when we got him.  He had multiple cracked, broken, and missing teeth, and the vet gave him a 4/4 score for his dental condition.  We usually see that when dogs have spent a lot of time chewing on kennel bars, or trying to eat rocks.   When Auggie had his dental done, most of his teeth were removed, and we're sure he's feeling so much better now because of that.   If you have any questions about Auggie, please contact Cheryl@eskierescuers.org.  Or complete our online Adoption Application, the link is part way down this page: https://www.eskierescuers.org/info/display?PageID=21057  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please Note: This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization or individual. Please be sure to contact the foster/caretaker for more information about him/her. Princess is a wonderful dog who has been neglected a lot in her life. So it takes her time to adjust to new people, but once she does is the most loyal companion. Since we saved Princess from being put down by our local shelter she has taken to me and she is my loyal shadow. She will do best in a home where she can be with her owner most of the day. She does get separation anxiety but she does not destroy anything besides dog toys. She has a hilariously goofy personality. She is so very sweet and playing outside is her favorite. She loves fetch and she is very very smart and a quick learner. She has the option to sleep on the bed but prefers the floor. She loves doggy friends to play with as wellFor more information please contact   Lacielantroop@gmail.comRehoming fee appliesVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 6, 2025, 9:16 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - LUNA OF CENTRAL FLORIDA   Luna is an adorable, playful and spunky girl who wants to be an 'only child'.   She's a terrific dog, energetic and healthy, who loves people; but she's not been socialized with other dogs and doesn't react well to them. She barks and wants them to stay away from her, although she eventually adjusted well with several small dogs in her foster home.  She's curious about other dogs but not ready for interaction with them, especially with male dogs.  She should probably be the only pet in the home. She has a strong prey drive and loves to chase squirrels, so a fully fenced yard is essential.    Luna is smart and clever; she learns quickly and needs an Eskie-savvy adopter that has time to train and socialize her. She was friendly with the children next door to the foster home but would probably prefer a home without children.   She's an Eskie mix with naturally short hair, a curled tail and brown ears, so she's very low maintenance and could be the perfect dog for someone that loves the eskie intelligence and personality, without needing to brush as often.    Luna loves playing ball (will even bring it back to you!), going for car rides, and watching TV with her foster mom. She's leash trained, house trained, well-behaved when left home alone, weighs 29 pounds, and is 3 years old. Luna is looking forward to her new beginning!   If you have any questions about Luna, please send an e-mail to: Cheryl@eskierescuers.org.  To submit an adoption application for Luna, please complete and submit our online Adoption Application.  You'll find the link for it partway down this page on our website: https://www.eskierescuers.org/info/display?PageID=21057   For more information and to see more pics of Luna, please click on this link to learn more about her: https://www.eskierescuers.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21671697 Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out our dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where they're being fostered).  Please note that ERU processes local applications before considering those that are farther away.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. She is now and active lizard hunter. **We will verify ALL information on your application, any incomplete applications will be closed** 11-24-25 - PUPDATE We’d like you to read our sweet Dixie’s update. As she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her new surroundings in her foster home, her true personality is coming out and she is absolutely adorable! She has become an expert Lizard chaser as she can find them anywhere. She perks up as soon as she spies one and the chase is on or even hide and seek is fun to. We discovered Dixie’s playful drive at the Dogtoberfest held last weekend in Dunedin. Our tent location was facing the Lure course (flag on a remote control line and the dogs are stimulated chasing it) Yes Dixie most certainly had her turn and boy did she love it. She completed one entire circuit around the course. You go girl! Ha! As you can see, our darling lizard chasing lure coursing girl most certainly will enjoy an active household, and maybe one that will get her involved in some type of agility? We bet she’d love it! Dixie is still in search of her “Fur"ever home. If you are ready to welcome this sweet active girl into your heart and home, please visit our website VIPRescue.org to review her complete bio, and if you think you’d be the perfect fit for her, please fill out an adoption application as we’re sure Dixie would love to be settled in her new home for the Holidays! 11-13-25 Well hello there! I’m Dixie, a 7 year old 16lb Pommy mix girl! My human became ill and could no longer take care of me, and surrendered me to VIP Rescue. As soon as I got here, I went straight to the “dogtor” for a complete check up as I had never been to a place like that before. Thank goodness all is well and I’m ready to find my new human to share my life with! My ideal new place would a quieter, active adult home, no kids please, with someone who is home most of the time, either a retiree or maybe an adult who works from home, with a secure fenced yard. Foster Mom has other littles in the house, I like them, but I could also be your one and only and you can spoil me rotten. I get all kinds of excited when I hear Mom gathering the leashes for a walk, I really like that, cuz I get to do all the “sniffies” in the neighborhood and boy, do I like those! I’m working on “housebreaking” training, (whatever 🙃 lol) and am currently tinkle pad trained. I’m learning to go outside when we go on those awesome walks with foster Mom. Since I’m so cute and fluffy, keep in mind that I will need regular grooming appointments which can run anywhere from $60.00 and up each time, so please prepare that in your budget cuz that’s really important for me to have done. I’m spayed, current on my vaccines, had a recent dental, am microchipped and on flea and heartworm prevention as well. If you’re interested in me or in both me and my friend Daisy, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Hope to meet you soon! VIP Rescue reserves the right to approve or disapprove adoption applications submitted based on each dogs specific needs. If your adoption application is approved, you will be required to travel to the dogs foster home to meet the dog. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and number for each vet. This breed typically lives 12-16 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet’s estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio on the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pets needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. As always, if you have any questions at all, feel free to email us at info@ viprescue.org Direct link: https://viprescue.org/dixie-redington-beach/ Application form: https://viprescue.org/application-to-adopt
