Ollie 1.5 year, neutered male, 14 lbs Pomeranian PERSONALITY TRAITS: Ollie is a generally friendly dog. He loves meeting people when he is comfortable and will pop up to say hi. He can be bossy with other dogs, and could do well with another neutral dog, but would also be fine alone. LIKES: Being near his person DISLIKES: Fast or unexpected movements (such as pets, being picked up), sharing his treats or found "goodies" POTTY TRAINING: He does well but may need a belly band when he is first introduced to a new environment to prevent marking. CRATE TRAINING: He will go into his crate willingly just to rest sometimes and is quiet when crated. OTHER/MISC: He is a picky eater, and has a "refined palate" and prefers soft food or fresh food. He gets very excited about junk food wrappers and boxes and stinky socks as well and will become territorial around these items. He may have had some resource insecurity in his past that have caused this. But due to his behavior when he is excited or anxious, we do not recommend him going to a home with children under 12. Ollie would be a great dog for an experienced owner who understands how to work with him to correct some of his quirks. Meet Lloyd! Lloyd is a sweet and thoughtful pug/Pomeranian mix with a gentle soul and an adorable face to match. Lloyd came to us after his previous owner could no longer care for their animals, and he is now looking for a patient, loving home to call his own. Unlike his more outgoing companions, Lloyd is a quieter, more reserved young guy who prefers to take in the world carefully before jumping in. He is incredibly attentive and always watching closely, taking comfort in calm voices, slow movements, and kind people who allow him time to warm up at his own pace. Lloyd has done wonderfully sharing a cottage with other dogs and would likely thrive with another friendly dog around his size to help build his confidence. He seems best suited for a quieter home, ideally with older children who can respect his gentle nature. While we do not know his history with cats, we believe Lloyd could peacefully share a home with them. Meet Harry! Harry is a hilarious pug/Pomeranian mix with a larger-than-life personality and looks that are impossible to forget. Resembling a tiny baby bear and sounding a bit like an alien, Harry is guaranteed to bring plenty of laughter and entertainment wherever he goes. Harry was surrendered when his previous owner could no longer care for their pets, and despite losing the only home he’s ever known, he has adjusted wonderfully. He’s your typical happy, spirited pug, full of excitement, charm, and goofy antics. Harry has been doing great with the other dogs he shares his cottage with and loves being part of the action. While we don’t know his history with cats or children, his sweet and good-natured personality makes us think he would likely do well with both.
