Story
Meet Raisin, a sweet 4-year-old, 17lb Schipperke mix, ready to find her perfect forever home. She’s a loyal and obedient companion who knows commands like sit, stay, and come. She’s a sensitive soul who thrives in a calm, structured environment with a consistent routine. She’s very friendly with new people but can be overwhelmed by children and large dogs. However, she loves small dog playmates! As a Schipperke mix, she’s alert and barks at stimuli, making her a great watchdog. She thrives on daily walks and games of fetch (and loves playing with other small dogs, too!). She can’t hold it all day, so an active retiree or work-from-home owner would be perfect. She is not crated during the day and likes her freedom. She does have a plush “house” she loves to lay in. She prefers to sleep in the bed with her people. We have an infant, & she has become very anxious living with us. We want to ensure she goes to a home where she’ll be cherished and understood. She is SUCH a wonderful dog!

Gidget could win a personality contest! She’s not only adorable, but she has a cute, fun-loving personality. Gidget is a 1 1/2 yr old, 12lb mixed beed. My dog scanner says she`s a terrier mix/Schipperke mix. She arrived at the shelter on 1/3 as a stray. Gidget has very unique coloring. She has a black strip down her back, fold over ears, a relatively long body, and is low to the ground. She’s spunky and spirited. She did zoomies around the yard. I wouldn’t want to challenge her to a race as she’s very fast! Her tail never stopped wagging. She danced for a treat and took the treat gently. She found a toy and entertained herself with it. She he jumped in my lap indicating she’s a lap dog wannabe. She does have what’s called a cherry eye. It’s cosmetic and does not affect her eyesight. She would need a secured yard where she can do her zoomies but then would want to come in the house to share family time. She also would like to accompany you when you run errands. I guarantee you you’ll get a lot of attention with her along.
