We must have an application to move forward.
RITA is an absolutely sweet and easy-going female. She definitely is mixed breed but her body style and size is that of a Patterdale Terrier… a breed from Northern England bread to be strong and sturdy…capable of withstanding cold, wet, and windy weather. Rita is just that…She is 30# but not very large or tall. The phone app scanned her picture suggests that she could be part Schipperke, too. She is 7 yrs old but often acts like a puppy when running and playing with the rest of the dogs. She is calm and quiet and loves attention. She is easy on the leash; rides well in in the car. She also totally leaves my 4 cats alone. She would be good as a companion with walks around the block or visits to the lake. I would not put her with playful children. I don’t believe she’d do anything other than go to a different room.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
