Looks like: Poodle mix Female, 12 years old (estimated), 16 pounds She's got style, she's got grace, she's a winner! Sweet and happy Gracie is a perfectly polite companion who is friendly with everyone she meets. At her foster home, she gets along with the other small resident dogs as well as cats, and she ignores the chickens. This darling will follow you around the home, not needing attention, but just observing your daily chores and routines. As reimbursement for her diligent supervision, Gracie appreciates regular meals, a couple of well-timed treats, walks around the neighborhood, and lots of love. Although she definitely prefers when her human companion is around, she is also fine when left home alone for a little while. She is house trained and sleeps quietly in her enclosure overnight, but if it were up to her, she would probably prefer to sleep in bed with her humans. Gracie is smart and attentive, and has been learning some basic commands. She will pick up a ball on occasion, likes chewing on antlers, and does well in the car. This pretty lady is slightly hearing and vision impaired, but gets around well and pays attention to her fellow dogs for all the important treat signals. Up until now, Gracie did not get a chance to live life to the fullest, and she is eager to catch up on the plush pampered poodle lifestyle. We are so excited to see this diamond in the rough starting to sparkle!! Gracie joined us from Santa Clara County Animal Care and Services where she was brought in as a stray.

Looks like: Poodle mix Male, 8 years old (estimated), 22 pounds This guy got it all: luscious curls, irresistible charm, and sprightly energy. Andrew has a heart as soft as his coat and a personality that's pawsitively endearing! He really is the biggest and sweetest love bug this side of the dog park, sharing perpetual tail wags, cozy cuddles, and happy prances. His favorite place is right by your side, all day and all night, if it was up to him!! Andrew is an A+ walking buddy who takes in the world around him at his own thoughtful pace. He is totally cool with all fellow canines, but is looking for a feline free home. Although Andrew's age is estimated to be in the double-digits, he is super healthy, active, and bubbly. This boy dreams of a calm, loving home where he can soak up loads of attention and affection, and maybe spend some time with a doggy sibling. At his foster home, he enjoys a ball toss or two, but is not the most toy crazy guy (yet). One thing is for sure, with his beautiful coat and soulful eyes, he knows how to steal the show wherever he goes. This sweet boy joined us from the SPCA of Monterey County. They thought he would do best to find his forever family in a senior-focused rescue.

Sardine is a mellow, gentle soul who's happiest when she can curl up, snooze, and simply go with the flow. She's not looking to make waves, just hoping for a cozy home where she can drift peacefully from nap to nap like the serene little fish she is. She's also fantastic with other dogs, getting along swimmingly with canine pals of all shapes and sizes. No drama, no splash, just a friendly wiggle and a wag. If your heart has room for a small, soft, slightly salty sweetheart, cast your line! Sardine is ready to be your best catch. Bring her home and let the good times roll! Sardine came to us from San Jose Care and Animal Services after coming in as a stray. Due to her senior status, they felt she would do best in a senior rescue to find her forever family.

Due to her age and medical needs, they felt a senior focused rescue was the best spot for her.

She loves a good snuggle session just about as much as she loves to roll around on the couch. She's just a doll. Mimi gets along great with other dogs and adores meeting new people. New friends are the best! Looking for a walking buddy or Netflix buddy? Mimi is up for whatever you have in store! Mimi's foster describes her as a total social butterfly. She does great on walks and is a smarty pants - figuring out new routines in her foster home super fast! Mimi has come a long way since her breakout of the shelter, and we can't wait to see how her spunky and playful personality continues to blossom. Mimi joined us from the Sacramento County Bradshaw Animal Shelter. They reached out to POMDR after deciding she would do best in a senior focused rescue.

Looks like: Poodle mix Male, 11 years old (estimated), 12 pounds Mattie is a sweet little lamb, following his foster people around the house hoping for snacks! He was in ruff shape when he came to POMDR, but with the loving care of his foster family and attention to his medical needs, he has become a new dog! We have determined that Mattie is hard of hearing, but you wouldn't notice it for how attentive he is to his surroundings. He is on inexpensive medications for Cushing's Disease and low thyroid. Luckily, he is a champ at taking his meds! He does very well around other dogs and is super food motivated! Besides meal time, and snack time, Mattie also loves his naps. He loves to wander around the yard, and explore the house-he doesn't really need leash walks. He gets his steps in around the house!! He does just fine being left at home, and would likely get along fine with cat friends. Mattie joined us from Los Banos Animal Services after being found as a stray. They realized it was in Mattie's best interest to land with a senior dog rescue. We're happy to report that Mattie is on the path to a whole new life! Can you be his forever home?
