Story
Solstice is a gorgeous, wiggly, doodle-looking girl with big chocolate eyes and a resilient heart. She was very pregnant when seized by animal control, but found safety in a foster home where she raised her puppies and began healing. Now recovered from her spay, she’s ready to find her forever family. She adores her foster mom—running to her for pets, cuddles, and gently placing a paw on her arm for affection. Solstice appears to attach strongly to one person but is very slow to trust others. A pellet removed from her body confirms she’s been through hard times, but she has never shown aggression and allows vet staff to handle her without issue; she simply chooses distance from unfamiliar people whenever possible. She seems to do well in a home with dogs, and interacts well with children and cats. Solstice needs a patient, experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and will let trust grow at her pace. She walks beautifully on leash. Appears low- to non-shedding, and is fully house trained. For the right person, Solstice will be a deeply loyal and loving companion. Solstice currently weighs about 29lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 04/10/2023), and her adoption fee is $660. Solstice will be spayed soon, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Solstice, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Pepper is a sweet dog, she likes to play a lot and very active, she's 6 yo and she come from https://www.lyonspuppypride.com. She always stay with us in our town home, and we were used to go take her to the park, but now with 2 kids and work she doesn't get to spend much outside and is not really fair for her, so we would love somebody that likely has a yard or some space where she can run, chase birds and squirrels. She's very sweet with kids and protective with her family, she's also a good swimmer both in lakes and ocean.

Story
Meet Beau! He is an adorable Schnoodle that we rescued about eight years ago. He was estimated to be around 4 years old at that time, making him about 12 now. He is super sweet and very playful. He has a loving personality and is eager to please. He enjoys cuddling and being with his 'people.' He is also very protective of his toys and food. He does not like to share! He gets overwhelmed/anxious fairly easily as well and would do best in a home without young/high-energy children or other pets. He is up to date on all of his shots and flea/heartworm meds and is neutered. He is house trained, though he still tries to ‘tag’ things that smell unfamiliar, and will occasionally poop in the house if he doesn’t want to go outside (rain, etc.). We will send Beau off with a care package with his favorite toys and treats, as well as a few servings of the food we have been feeding him (Wellness). We are asking for a rehoming fee to ensure that he goes to a great family.

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Paxton! This 9-year-old miniature poodle is a senior with plenty of personality. He can sometimes show a bit of attitude, so we recommend a home without small children. Paxton enjoys walks on a leash but would thrive with a small, dog-approved fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs. He gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful companion for the right family. Paxton weighs 8lbs. and is approximately 9 years old (est. birth date 01/29/2016). Paxton has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Paxton's adoption fee is $85. If you want more information about Paxton, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
A Victor is a precious miniature poodle mix. He came to us with an injured leg that required amputation. He has adjusted very well and loves to run. Victor is crate trained and can walk on a leash. Victor requires a home with a secure fenced yard that is appropriate for a small breed dog. Victor will need a home with no small children. He is very loving, but can be protective of his people and toys. Victor does not have a bite history, but needs a family that understands small dogs with an attitude. He is so very loving and loves to give kisses. If you’re interested in learning more about this baby, please apply to furkids.org. We are not considering out-of-state adoptions.
