Story
Aoki is a gentle, sweet girl who has had a tough life. I adopted her from a shelter and was told she was a stray beforehand. The shelter told me that she was 9 years old but the vet has told me that she is older. Aoki enjoys naps, eating, or cuddling. I left her out to free roam because she doesn’t chew on items and is pee pad trained. She does have major anxiety so I would prefer if her new home has someone that’s always there or an owner that works for home with no other dogs. Bunnies are ok. She is also scared of water and will have an anxiety attack if it rains. Aoki also needs dental work done and her breath is very strong. She just recovered from being spayed in March so it was advised that I wait until summer for another procedure. Aoki also has a problem with urinary stones, so she is on a very strict, prescribed diet. Her dry food cost around $40 and wet food is $5 a can. She also has an unknown skin condition. She is high maintenance but she’s so worth it.

Story
Bijou is a sweet little Poodle mix. He is about 2-3 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He was found dumped on the side of the road in a crate with another dog who has since been adopted. Bijou was matted and terrified when he arrived at Tiny Paws. It’s been a long road but he has made excellent progress and come such a long way in his foster home, but is still quite shy when meeting new people. Bijou is sweet and affectionate to his foster mom. He is so excited to see her that he gets the “tippy tappies” and that has become his nickname. He loves his foster siblings and we are requiring another confident dog in the home that can help show him the ropes! At this time, we are also requiring a home with a fenced yard for him. ******************** Preference is given to applicants located within the metro Atlanta area. Story
Meet Thalia! Thalia is a 5 year old, 11 lb Miniature Poodle with a gentle and sensitive soul. She can be nervous when first adjusting to new environments, so she’ll need a patient and understanding adopter who can give her the time and space to feel safe and secure. Because of this, Thalia is not a good match for homes with young children under 10. Once she feels comfortable, Thalia’s sweet personality truly shines. She’s a loving little companion who enjoys snuggling up with her favorite person and soaking up affection. She’s also quite curious and enjoys exploring her surroundings and playing with toys. Thalia thrives in the company of other dogs and REQUIRES a canine companion in her forever home to help her feel confident and happy. She has also done well with cats in her foster home. She’s been making good progress with house training, though she will need continued patience as she learns a new routine. Thalia is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, so a securely fenced yard is a REQUIREMENT for her safety and comfort. With love, patience, and a furry friend by her side, Thalia will blossom into a devoted and loving companion. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Meet Piper, an adorable girl who is around three years old and weighs about 13 pounds. Piper found herself in a local shelter after being seized by authorities in a horrific hoarding case. Due to her lack of socialization, she was at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Tiny Paws was able to step up and save her! Due to her past, Piper is a nervous girl and is still learning how to trust, love, and feel safe in this world! Piper’s journey in her foster home hasn’t always been easy, but she’s made great progress. She is still very skittish and easily startled, so she’s looking for an experienced, calm, and understanding adopter who can continue the gentle, patient care she’s been receiving in her foster home. She enjoys snuggling and playing with her foster siblings and we would love to see her go to a home with a confident dog around her size to help show her the ropes! What Piper needs most is a consistent environment where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. With time, love, and patience, we know this sweet girl will continue to shine! Piper is not comfortable on a leash and will require a secure, private fenced-in yard where she can safely play, explore, and potty. Due to her skittish nature, she would not do well in a home with children or with frequent young visitors. Thanks to a generous supporter sponsoring most of Piper’s adoption fee, her adoption fee is now $75.
