Story
Lucy is a sweet, fluffy doodle girl who lives to make her people happy and has so much love to give. She is still a bit skittish with new people and situations, so her ideal family will give her the time and patience she needs to settle in and feel safe. Once Lucy knows you, her playful, goofy side really comes out, and she would do best in an active household that enjoys walks, playtime, and everyday adventures. She currently lives peacefully with 3 dogs and 4 cats in her foster home and gets along well with everyone, so a home with other friendly pets would be a great fit for her. Lucy is looking for a calm, loving family who understands that shy dogs need a little extra time at first but reward that patience with deep, loyal affection. If you are ready to earn the trust of a gentle, sensitive soul and include her in your daily life, Lucy might be your perfect new best friend.

Story
She was rescued in 2019 at the Humane Rescue Alliance. She was probably 5 yrs old but they guessed she was 10. She loves people and hour long walks. She needs a lot of water and a 11:30 PM walk to sleep through the night. She has no peripheral vision in either eye but can see straight on. Her teeth are not strong so she needs wet food (Beneful) only a half of that tiny can per meal. She likes 2% Milk once a day. She fully understands English, but never acknowledged the "Sit!" command. She barks at small children and hound dogs. She has two lumps on her underside. The soft one has been there since 2019 when I adopted her. The hard one about a year, with some growth. I understand that the hard one can be drained. She likes to listen to classical music when she's left alone. She can roam freely. She sleeps until you return and may need you to wake her up. She eats a spoonful of yogurt (Chobani). She likes to be held like a baby with eye contact once or twice a day for a few minutes.

Story
Current Location: Hanover, PA Meet Lolly: A Gentle Soul with the Perfect Balance There are some dogs who just feel right from the moment they walk into your home, and Lolly is one of those special girls. This poodle mix has a gentleness and sweet disposition that makes her an absolute joy to be around. She's found that magical balance between youthful enthusiasm and calm companionship that so many families dream of. Lolly is young enough to still delight in life's simple pleasures: a nice walk around the neighborhood, chasing a ball in the backyard, exploring the world with you by her side. But she's also wonderfully chill and calm when it's time to relax, content to simply be near you as the day winds down. She doesn't need a crate at night and settles in beautifully, though she's shown she can handle being crated when necessary (even if she'd rather not). She's doing well on the leash and is ready to continue her education in meeting new dogs and people. When she does spot another pup, her excitement bubbles up, a sign of her friendly, social nature just waiting to blossom with proper introductions and continued socialization. Lolly is still getting her bearings in this new chapter of her life, but her foster family can already see what a wonderful companion she'll be. She needs a family who will appreciate her gentle spirit, continue her training journey, and give her the love and stability she deserves. If you're looking for a dog who brings joy without drama, sweetness without demand, and just the right amount of playfulness mixed with peace, Lolly might be your perfect match.

Story
Me me me me meeeeeee!!!!!! What? Oh. My foster mom says that is NOT how to spell my name. It is spelled “MiMi" which sounds the same but who cares how it is spelled. I am a vintage model of a little poodle and I was a much loved member of the family at one time. Not to say that I am spoiled or anything but I know what I want when I want it! So it really is all about me! I adore being around my people and love being held. I will make little whimpering noises if you are there and I think I haven’t had enough lap time and look at you with my puppy dog eyes so that you feel guilty and pick me up where I want to be. I am a healthy 14 year old poodle who is scheduled for spay and teeth cleaning on Jan. 5th and then will be able to go to my new home after that. I use a potty pad when I am sleeping on the floor, but my foster mom puts a diaper on me when I sleep on your bed because I am not too keen about jumping off the bed. So when I have to potty, if I am on the bed, sometimes I will potty the bed. But the diaper takes care of that. I am a whopping 10 pounds and do walk pretty well of a leash as long as you don’t walk too fast. I am housebroken if you take me out on a schedule. Adoption fee in Texas is $200 Out of State fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $450.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.
