Story
Hi everyone, I’m Oscar. I’m almost three years old. I’m a very sweet boy, I love to try to get the old men in my foster home to play with me, but they’re not very interested. I’d love to have a playmate and my foster mom says I must have a fenced in yard so I can run and work off some of my energy. I love to cuddle with my foster mom and give kisses to all. I really like people and am a good boy – most of the time. I get really scared at the vet and groomer; I don’t try to bite or anything, but my doctor says I flail (whatever that means), so I have to take some drugs to calm me down a bit, and I get groomed at the vet. I’d love to find my forever home soon! From mom:  Oscar is quite the character. He’s house and crate trained, neutered, chipped and is current on his vaccines and heartworm meds. Oscar must have a fenced yard, he walks and potties fine on a leash, but he really needs to let off some energy (or he will let it off in the house!). Oscar came from a bad situation, and gets scared at the vet and groomer. I have groomed him a couple times (clean ups), but for a full groom, he is sedated at the vet. I have tried the mobile groomer (he does get carsick), but the clippers and scissors freak him out, and the groomers (we’ve tried a couple), are worried he’ll injure himself trying to get away. He has been boarded several times and does very well. He loves people and is very friendly and social with other dogs (he drives the old men here crazy). No idea with cats (he might give chase) but I don’t think he’d know what to do if he caught one. He loves to look at the deer that come in the yard. I think he’d be great with older kids (10+), I’d be worried he might knock smaller kids over though. He’s very athletic and can jump and climb, so any fence needs to be an appropriate height. He loves his food and especially his cookies. He doesn’t really have any interest in toys, I’m not sure he understands what they are. I think Oscar would do best with a doggie buddy who can show him the ropes. He’s good inside (unless energy!) and doesn’t chew or get into things he shouldn’t. Oscar’s adoption fee is only $350. He is fostered in Michigan, so is enjoying the snow. Oscar needs someone to work with him and have patience while he’s settling in and getting used to a new home. I also think training would be helpful (he loves to be busy, so redirecting him would be a great thing). Oscar just needs love and the ability to sleep on the couch. Story
Meet Taco! Have you ever seen a more adorable senior schnauzer! Taco is 10 lbs. and is considered special needs due to his sight being limited by cataracts. We had considered doing surgery for a little taco, however the amount of eye drops in a day and then drops for the remainder of his life weren’t something we felt he would tolerate. Considering the cost, we wanted to assure Taco would tolerate getting drops so we started a trial with lubricant eye drops just to see how he would do, and let’s just say he’s not a fan. Taco’s foster mom has done a fabulous job bringing this senior guy pulled from a shelter out of his Shell. Here is what she has discovered with this guy. Taco is a handsome smoky gray, ten pound bundle of joyful schnoodle! He doesn’t let blindness get in the way of having fun! This energetic fellow loves to go on walks, play with squeaky toys and toss the tennis ball in the air. Taco has mapped out his single level foster home and navigates freely. He shadows his foster mom by following close behind and occasionally tapping her heels with his nose. His best furever home would be where the furniture stays in the same place to help him feel secure. He continues to work on house breaking and does well when his potty schedule is regular. He uses a trendy little male wrap for his accidents as needed. Taco is 10 years old, neutered, microchipped and UTD on vaccines. He is crate trained and needs a fenced yard for his safety. He loves to nap with his foster kitty and pays little attention to his foster dog brothers. He is frightened of children so a child free home is recommended. Taco is looking for a patient adopter and loving home where he can use his super power sensory strengths of hearing and smell to move about safely and relish in his golden years. If you think Taco sounds like the perfect boy for your family, please fill out the application below. Gets along with other dogs? Yes Gets along with cats? Yes Gets along with other pets? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Moe! Moe is a beautiful little white Maltipoo with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to bond with the right family. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He will need to go to a home with another companion dog to help him feel comfortable and confident. Moe’s best friend here is Mitchell, and they would love to be adopted together. With a patient and loving family who will give him time to settle in, he will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Moe is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a sweet pup who just needs a little patience to shine, Moe may be the perfect match for Adoption Fee: $400 Apply to adopt Moe: www.adoggie4you.org Give this gentle boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Stevie is a 5 year old, 11.5 lb Mini Poodle and former puppy mill mom who is learning what life is like in a loving home. Originally a bit skittish and anxious, Stevie is a silly and sweet girl with a puppy-like energy (everyone she meets on walks confuses her for a puppy!). She loves snuggling up on the couch, soaking in the sun, and taking long walks. Stevie is a loyal dog who loves sitting nearby (and often *on*) her foster and following them around the house. She’s a fast learner — she’s quickly gotten used the outdoors and is starting to go potty on her walks, leading to less indoor potty accidents. Indoors, she’s learned to use pee pads as well. She did not crate easily at first, but now has learned to enjoy her crate while I am away through crate training and positive associations (feeding in crate, treating in crate, etc.) She rarely whines or barks when I leave the home now and enjoys watching Bluey or listening to music while I’m away (she loves Fleetwood Mac & Kasey Musgraves!) Overnight, she sleeps in her dog bed in my bedroom as the crate was very scary at nighttime for her when she arrived, but I’m optimistic she will be ready for it soon if crating overnight is your wish!

Stevie is missing several teeth so she prefers soft foods (mixing pate into her kibble) and treats (she prefers small pieces of string cheese to dog treats!).

Stevie truly is a delight — she’s tough and loving beyond her circumstances, gentle with others, curious to the world around her, and excited to join a caring family in her forever home! Stevie is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Introducing Dot! Dot is a 5 1/2-year-old, 8 lb Mini Poodle who survived life as a puppy mill mama and is now slowly learning how to trust the world around her. She loves to cuddle close and has the sweetest little heart. Time, patience, and gentle attention are exactly what Dot needs to continue building confidence and learning what it means to simply be a beloved dog. After six weeks in foster care, she is finally starting to show true happiness, and it has been incredibly rewarding to watch her blossom. Dot is currently about 80% potty trained. She goes outside to pee consistently when taken out 4–5 times a day, though she still occasionally has small accidents and has not yet learned to poop outside. Her foster walks outside with her during potty breaks, which helps her feel safe and comfortable. She does not show much interest in staying outside yet and can still be nervous about unfamiliar sounds and smells. Because Dot strongly dislikes leashes, she will require a securely fenced yard and will most likely never be a “go for walks” type of dog. Her ideal home would be a semi-quiet household with someone patient and understanding who can continue helping her feel safe during outdoor potty time. Dot loves scrambled eggs and chicken and is currently eating a mix of soft and hard dog food. She needs a home filled with kindness, comfort, and gentle encouragement to help her continue her journey toward becoming the cutest little addition to a lucky family. Dot is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
