Divorce forces a move, and the stress of the move has worsened her habits, so she is looking for a calm owner who can help her through her anxiety.Wicket is:• 5 years old and mostly white with tabby patches• Soft, fluffy, and loves night pets and treats• Playful and enjoys chasing laser lights• Looking for a quiet, child and pet-free home to feel safe• Anxious at times, which leads to peeing and pooping outside the litter boxShe grew up around kids and other pets fine, but a peaceful environment is best for her healing. **THIS CAT IS CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE, If you`re interested in meeting, please fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet and we will be in touch to schedule an appointment**Verde: The Staircase Sunbeam QueenVerde settled into her foster routine ridiculously fast—within just a couple of days, she decided, “Yep, this is my house now.” Her absolute favorite hangout spot is the staircase, specifically the steps blessed by the Sacred Daily Sunbeam, though she’s perfectly happy to loaf there even when the sun forgets to show up.She’s not a big toy enthusiast, but she’ll occasionally humor a string or spring with a polite swat. Her true passion? Dramatically smushing her face into a Yeoww catnip banana like it’s her long-lost best friend.Verde has a funny little quirk: she absolutely will not jump onto the couch herself, but if you gently place her there, she transforms into the world’s coziest lap-muffin and curls right up for a nap like it was her idea all along.She’s not the most meticulous groomer and sometimes needs help removing stray litter bits from her legs or tail. In the mornings, she enjoys parading around the house meowing at top volume, presumably to announce that she has survived the night and would now like attention. Verde seems to be hard of hearing, so approaching her from the front is the best way to avoid surprising her.Quirky, calm, and sweet, Verde is perfectly content to spend long stretches alone but is delighted to have company too. She brings a gentle, slightly dramatic charm to her foster home.Verde will also need ongoing monitoring for kidney disease, including regular vet checkups to help ensure she stays comfortable and healthy.
