Story
Our pet Katinka is the sweetest cat. After getting a mystery illness after having a majority of her teeth removed, she started urinating on the flat ground. We did have her on antibiotics for a month and her dizziness subsided. It was assumed she had an inner ear infection, then possibly a staff infection after her short stay with the vet. We have tried multiple litter boxes, different litters and have moved them around for convenance. We cannot figure out why she dislikes the litter box. We have a busy house with kids and if a towel is left on the ground, she will urinate on it. We have tried giving her to adoption agencies and no one is taking cats currently. She also stopped bathing herself, so she needs weekly baths. She loves affection and her people. She is not fond of playing, especially with her daughter who has more energy than her. She loves sleeping with people and sitting on your lap and has a very prominent purr.

Story
Chai is a one year old female Scottish straight. She is a fully indoor cat and needs to remain that way. Chai is good with other cats and is very sweet once she gets to know someone. She needs lots of toys and a quiet place to sleep. I feel she would do good in a home without small children, although she has always been good to mine, she does like a quiet environment. Chai likes her litter box to remain very clean and will come with her water fountain.

Adopt me on the 4th of this month and my fee is waived! It's the Craig Stein Yappy Hour and we're honoring our friend Craig by waiving adoption fees for all pets. And every pet adopted during the promotion will also receive a branded bandana and a starter kit with food, treats, and toys! Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give.I need to meet any kids before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.I need a slow introduction to cats. I can share my space with cats, but I'd like to get used to the idea over time.My foster knows me better than anyone! Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them:Missy is a kick back kinda lady. She enjoys a window seat and will flop and stretch out on the floor for pets. She will sit quietly a couple yards away from a quiet dog. She still startles easily to sudden or fast movements or sudden sounds...other than the popping of her food can! She loves Temptations treats and Churus. A toy pulled along floor is very tempting to her. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.62 Age: 3yrs 3mths 0wks

Plays a bit with feather toy. She pushes her way in for more pets when it's Missy's turn. Likes her Temptations treats. They often lay next to each other and play run and chase in the evenings. Story
Hello there, I'm Izzy. I've got wisdom in my years and a heart full of love to share. My days are spent in quiet contemplation, a mellow soul enjoying life's simple pleasures. I value my independence, but I'm always ready to offer a comforting purr to a friendly face. I'm loyal to those who earn my trust, and once you do, I'll be your steadfast companion. Adopting me means gaining a friend who will stand by your side, share your peaceful moments, and offer a warm, comforting presence. So, why not consider making your life a little richer with me, Izzy, in it? Izzy is a gorgeous 10-year-old long haired tabby who is looking for a place to retire and be spoiled for the rest of her days. She was brought to her previous owners as a kitten with a lot of trauma from being mishandled by toddlers. Over the years she has learned to love and trust again, but it takes time and patience for her to come around to new people. She is not a lap cat, but more of a living decor piece to be appreciated from afar until she is ready. You can’t help but feel honored when she does choose you for a good scratch and snuggle.  Izzy has lived with several cats and dogs and does well co-existing with all of them. Izzy is just looking for peace and stability. Though she is shy or spicy at first, she would take only a few short weeks to make a wonderful addition to any home without small children.  She does get mats on her back due to her fur, age, and difficulty with being handled when it is not her choice, so this is an extra maintenance to keep in mind.  If you would like to meet me please go to furryfriendswa.org, click adopt and fill out an application.  ##2316447##
