Story
Hello, my name is Capri and here is a little info about me:Breed: Shar Pei mixAge: 10 months oldGender: female, spayedWeight: 30 lbsHeight: 14 in Capri was rescued from a high kill shelter near LA. She was running out of time when she got rescued. Her foster mom in Califoria can't stop saying wonderful thing about her. If you are looking for a "good girl", Capri is the one for you! She is fully house trained but might need some help in a new home. She is still a puppy and will need some training. She has some puppy energy to burn, and she is pretty active. Capri is cute, charming and easy going. She gets along well with people, other dogs and cats. She enjoys going for walks or play with other dogs or her toys. Capri likes the company of other dogs so another dog in the home will be good but not necessary. She is equally happy as a solo dog. She is looking for her forever home and can travel to Vancouver very soon if she has an adopter. Please adopt her!  Energy Level: High I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: Unknown Prey drive: unknown/not observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise. Fears: unknown/none observed. Training: basicLeash skills:  Please be prepared to train me.House trained: Yes I have been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. My adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. Story
This striking little Shar-pei/lab mix is Cecilia Cub brought into the program by our very own, Olga! Cecilia is right around a year old and weighs 45 lbs of pure love and sweetness! She has the absolutely cutest face and beautiful medium-length mocha colored coat! Her snout resembles a shar-pei and she is petite with long legs but like we always say … with rescue it’s just a guess! The cutest thing about this little angel pup … when she gets comfortable with her person/people she will do this adorable pitter pattering in her crate because she’s so excited to see you! She will lift her paw, begging to be let out of her crate so she can give lots of doggy hugs and kisses! She just wants to show you all the love! Cecilia is truly what love is made of! When you first meet her, she has this cute little series of hops, almost like a bunny, where she will jump to you then away from you trying to establish trust. She’s not fearful, it’s just her way of checking out new people as she needs time to warm up. If you sit or crouch she will immediately come to you … she feels more safe when you’re on her level. This precious girl just wants love and affections from her humans. She also displays the same hop/jump game when first meeting dogs - it’s almost like a game of tag and chase so she can make sure everything is a-ok! Cecilia is not a vocal dogs and rarely barks! She would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she received proper daily physical and mental stimulation. She is also completely house and crate trained. She rides well in the car and can easily get in and out on her own. She’d love to accompany her new person/people on errand runs and road trips! Cecilia walks so gently on leash! She’s still a young girl and can easily get sidetracked and stop to smell the roses! She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze with this girl. She’s still young and very malleable so the sky’s the limit for sweet Cecilia! Shes such an amazing pup and so stable that our behavior team has been able to use her in assessments and playgroups consisting of dogs that vary in size (7 lbs to 90 lbs) and temperament. She’s an absolute rockstar and was even able to stay calm and keep her composure when a fight broke out in playgroup. This girl is truly the complete package and just needs the right home to call her own! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65c678d5c507b337180f4aa6 Please email Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
THE UNLIKELY DUO: 'Boo' the Shar Pei and 'Pickles' the Flat Coated Retriever! These two dogs found each other in the unlikeliest of places-a shelter. They formed an inseparable bond from the moment they met becoming BFF's. Boo is a petite little lady with a big personality in a small package - she is full of quirks and sure to keep you entertained with her silly personality. Boo arrived with a severe skin condition that is being managed with a hydrolyzed protein diet and medicated baths. Her skin has improved immensely! This diet will likely need to be continued for the rest of her life and adopters will need to be able to take on the expense of this special diet.Boo is usually quite confident but in certain situations she can get a little nervous. She knows when to seek out a quiet spot if she needs a break. She would not be suitable with younger children.Ideally, Boo and her fellow shelter friend Pickles (please read his story) would be adopted together. Boo has really shown Pickles how to be a dog and that it is okay to trust people. The two of them have become very close and spend their days by each other's side. We recognize this is a big ask due to their different needs, but we think a home together would be what is best for both of them.Do you think you could be Boo's and Pickle's person? Here are some ways to find out:1. Visit our centre to meet this pet during viewing hours at 3202 Norland Ave, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or2. Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Please note our adoption/viewing hours 1-5pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday. Story
Greetings, I'm Mint, an 8-month-old girl with a mix. My journey began when I was just a 2-week-old baby, arriving at the city shelter along with my seven siblings and loving Mom. I bring a delightful and sociable spirit with me. One of my brothers found a loving home in Seattle through fostering, and it was love at first sight for his foster family. We're a charming bunch! Yet, the rest of my siblings, including myself, are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. All of us are a delightful blend of friendly, funny, and undeniably cute. Strength? That's a matter of perspective. I consider myself innocent and gentle, always eager for playful adventures. Food is a joy, but I'm no guard—sharing with friends is more my style. My energy level is moderate, and I enjoy playtime with pals while maintaining a calm demeanour indoors. Petting me is a breeze, and my wobbly tail is a testament to my happiness. I'm the epitome of cheerfulness—always ready with a wagging tail, especially when making eye contact. If you're in search of a bright and cheerful companion, look no further—meet me and let's create a beautiful bond! Story
Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name.
