This cute Shar-Pei girl is about 10 months old. A friend rescued her in Mexico and we’re helping her to place her in a good home. She’s very sweet and playful, she’s also good with other dogs. My friend, who’s her current foster, also has cats, and she’s been good with them too. Lucy is about 25lbs currently. Included with adoption: - Vaccines up to date - Flea/tick prevention given (Bravecto) - Spayed - Some of her current food If interested in adopting Lucy please fill out our adoption application form. Please note, we’re a Beagle rescue that mainly rescue hounds so our application is directed to the Beagle breed, if you’re applying to adopt Lucy please share the experience you have with the Shar-Pei breed or other breeds (not necessarily Beagles). Pick up is in San Diego, CA. Transportation is also available to the right home, depending on distance.

A very sweet kind loving girl. overall hoping that there is someone who has the time to actually walk her and take her for runs etc i am a first time mom and my husband is away for almost a year . I am struggling to give her the adequate attention she needs. Before i adopted her i was unaware that i had allergies so i cant really bond with her. thank you 🐾

How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in a community member Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Popobawa, known as Popo. Popo has a big head, a really big head, both literally and figuratively. Literally because his kind of dog has a big head. But he has a big head figuratively because he knows that with some help and good care, he will be one mighty fine big headed dog. He has no doubt about that. He is already house trained so that is behind him. He does not really care for other dogs and he barks at them and other things.. He wants someone to teach him, using positive reinforcement techniques, how to respond without barking. He wants someone to teach him commands so he knows when to sit and stay. He is hoping that after he learns the good dog stuff, someone will teach him some tricks, like shake paw and high five so he can show off. Popo wants lots of space and outdoor time. He wants a quiet environment without other dogs living in his space. He wants tranquility, care and love. Do you have that for Popo and do you have the desire to train a dog with a big head to be a mellow, well behaved dog for you? If you do, we can help you with the training stuff and Popo will be right by your side.> If so, bring a big leash and ask to meet Popo with the big head. DOB: August 2018Weight: 27 lbsDisposition: Confident, Inquisitive, PlayfulEthel was rescued on 5th August 2020 during a slaughterhouse closure together with another 14 dogs conducted by FOUR PAWS in Kampong Thom, Cambodia. After rescue she was housed at Animal Rescue Cambodia in Phnom Penh until she flew stateside at the beginning of December 2020 when she joined us at The Barking Lot.Ethel has the cutest little ears there ever was and their a dead giveaway for her Shar Pei roots! This lovely girl used to be timid around other dogs, especially at dinner time. Like many of our rescues who have been through traumatic experiences, she gets defensive about her food. The rest of the time, Ethel can be coy, but she is learning to trust again and is really relaxed with her caretakers. Ethel has a lovely, inquisitive nature and is building trust with new people daily. She enjoys handling and cuddles from people she trusts and is treat motivated.
