Story
Barkley is an approximately 1 year old Shar Pei mix. He is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccines and testing! Barkley is eligible for foster-to-adopt or adoption. Barkley is OK with cats, and LOVES to play with other dogs! We believe he would do well in a home with either or both! When he wants something, he can nip lightly at your ankles, and he is working on stopping that behavior, but for that reason, we do not suggest he go to a home with young children. His foster mom describes his temperament as good natured. She says he working on crate training now; he doesn’t like being crated and makes a fuss for five minutes or so, then is quiet. He is smart and eager to please. He does well walking on the leash with minimal pulling. With time and consistency, Shar Pei puppy Barkley will be the perfect addition to any home! Story
Jelly Roll and Croissant are making their big debut! These beautiful Chinese Shar Pei`s were born here at the shelter and their mom Asrielle took very good care of them. Croissant and Jelly are each looking for an experienced family. They will require an owner with the time to raise a puppy from scratch. (Someone that works from home or has alternating shifts) What personalities they already have! They are playful, snuggly and smart. We will schedule family meets with approved applicants only.

Story
Who's better than the rest-y? That's right, it's me, Betsy! I am a cool Chinese Shar-Pei mixed female with a Tuxedo colored coat and white socks! My facial features even have a cool black and white coloring to them too! I was rescued from a bad hoarding situation alongside my siblings, thing's weren't looking good for us. But our big-hearted rescuers saved us and got us on the road to better care and living great lives! Betsy likes to chew on big bones, occasionally wiggle her ears around, and bark at squirrels. Now we're on our way to finding our forever homes. Learning how to socialize with other dogs, take walks, and play fetch with a ball. Stay tuned for more updates on my journey! This is Betsy signing off! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! If you have ever wanted to adopt a rescued dog that NEEDS the best home, WE ARE WAITING RIGHT HERE!!! Please watch our video, empathize with us AND our rescue family and ADOPT!!!! SO SO SO MANY LIVES DEPEND ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Story
Marlee is a fun name for a fun gal! I was living my life and having some fun, except no one got me "fixed" so the fun ended up with me being a single mother with 6 hungry mouths to feed!!! Who thinks that their fun will lead to months of feeding and my milk producers dragging on the ground :( I sure didn't... However, I LOVE MY BABIES!!! Now that they are on their own in foster homes, that is :) I am a fun gal, I love to play with my friends and I am great with other playful and fun dogs. I am a climber and a jumper so it may be why I was out playing in the first place.... but I digress... I am happy and sweet and I have the gorgeous soft, PLENTIFUL muzzle of a Shar Pei, with the energy of a lab or shepherd or who knows what other breed I am. I want a real family who will love me for all that I am, and I am A LOT!! Look me up and let's run off into the sunset :) ADOPT... DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE AND MY PUPPIES' LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Luigi came to us from a family member who is now deceased. He is going to be 6 years old on April 29th. Luigi was originally adopted by his first owner from a pet store and went home with malnutrition and heartworms. He has all of the traditional personality characteristics of a pit bull. He loves to cuddle, loves to sunbathe and to exercise, curling up on a couch or his cushioned bed, and loves chew toys but will tear the floof out of anything soft. He is loving and loyal with occasional zoomies. Although his recall could use some work, Luigi adheres to commands including, sit, up, down, lay, stay, leave it, go out. He is well crate-trained and potty trained. Unfortunately, we have been experiencing behavioral issues from Luigi, primarily unexpected lunging. He would best be suited with an experienced adopter who is single and can offer optimal exercising and additional training. He can be good with small dogs but would recommend him to be a solo pet.
